First doodles
I decided to buy these and start my 13-month-old son with coloring/drawing. The first go at these was in his high chair with the block crayons, and all he wanted to do was rip the paper and put the crayons in his mouth. The second time around I tried them at the coffee table in the living room (three weeks later, at almost 14 months) and he watched me use them and did some scribbles himself. Now every time we get them out he goes right to town! They don't hold his interest super long, but I plan on bringing them out and giving him a chance to use them 2-3 times per week. I think they are a great, non-toxic, and great-smelling way to introduce him to the world of drawing and making his own art. When he gets a little older we can switch him to the stick crayons. Update 6-7-14 My son will be 2 next month and these are still my favorite crayons for him. We have received a set of Melissa & Doug crayons, and a set of Crayola, and these are much better than both. The Crayolas break easily, and the Melissa & Doug are a weird plastic material that does not wash off of anything. These are much better at putting bold marks on paper. My son prefers the stick crayons. I think I'd skip the block crayons altogether next time we buy them. I plan to get him a set with more colors and save the block crayons for the next baby.

Great set of crayons
As a Waldorf kindergarten teacher, I used Stokmar crayons for 20 years. I've continued to use them with my grandkids. This set was for my youngest , 3 1/2 year old. Crayons are smooth, comfortable to hold and produce beautiful colors. I like that there are both block and stick crayons in this sturdy tin. Though expensive, theses crayons are far superior to a well k own brand (Crayola). I heartily recommend these!!

Best quality, beautiful crayons!
These crayons are a pleasure to work with. My children refer to them as the "extra-special crayons"- they are indeed above and beyond the cheap kinds. These beeswax crayons look, feel and smell just delightful, and the storage tin is perfect for keeping them nice. The drawings my kids make with these crayons look more beautiful than those made with the cheap school crayons. The colors can blend together and make gorgeous color combinations. We love having both the block and stick crayons. The blocks are great for easily coloring large areas (like the blue sky or green grass little kids commonly color) and the sticks are great for outlines of shapes/objects. They last a long, long time and we haven't had any of them break. Definitely worth the money!

Arrived broken, not worth the price
The block crayons work great, but the stick crayons are made poorly. One arrived already broken, the others broke in the exact same place pretty quickly - just under the wrapper. I would advise just buying a set of block crayons

WEIRDLY Good Crayons!
I purchased these for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas in an attempt to buy quality over quantity. A homeschooling friend recommended them to me, and they did not disappoint! I'd like to think I'm pretty immune to hype and am fairly practical. But truly these crayons write so much better than regular wax crayons. They are smooth, and as my mom pointed out, they don't have that "sticky" popping sound when you lift them up from the paper or leave tiny chunks as you write. I love them! They don't smell like a beeswax candle though, if that's what you're after. I don't really care.

Good quality crayons
Great crayons for younger hands. We thought that the blocks would be really good for rubbings, but they seem to be favorites for drawing too. The whole set has good colors and they smell great. They've gotten quite a bit of use in the last month and aren't showing any signs of significant wear. They really are durable! Should be around for a good long time

Nice product ruined by packing/ shipping!
This item is definitely getting returned! I'm sure the product is wonderful, but upon opening my package none of the blocks or sticks were in the included case. As you can see in the attached picture, sticks were broken and both the sticks and blocks had markings all over them. I'm very disappointed.

These are the best crayons! I won’t buy anything else going forward. They are so sturdy and vibrant. I love how smoothly they colour. My 3 year old never enjoyed colouring because the crayons would always break, he got so excited to colour with these. I love them, kids love them. Only complaint is I wish they would make some more colours I really wished they had pink.

I used these growing up and was excited to find them for my daughter. They smell like beeswax and remind me of my childhood. The blocks are great as the don’t break and are easy to hold.

I looked through a lot of of options to get crayons for my little ZO. The qualities I looked for - toddler safe, dark color, not easy to break, longer use. The crayons come in a tin box so these don't break easily. The stockmar has block shaped crayons and pencil crayons. The block shaped crayons are for early steps drawing which are easy to hold and draw and the colors are beautiful. Though a bit pricey, I would think as an investment with the qualities I looked and found. So worth the research and wait to get the crayons which will be used for longer time.
