In East Idaho, birch trees are attacked by leaf miners to the extent that they will kill the tree in short order once infested. I've had several neighbors that lost their mature birches to these pests. Those that relied on spraying their mature trees still had the tops killed out because many sprayers are limited on how high they can reach. The drench method solves this problem. I've used the tree drench just before bud break in the spring for many years and the miners are never a problem. The 50-year-old tree still looks great. I also started drenching a summit ash when I noticed a couple of borer holes in the trunk about 10 years ago. No more holes. It's great stuff and convenient to use.

I put in five tropical hibiscus plants I got in the bargain bin 2 months ago. They ended up having a serious aphid infestation, along with white flies and on one plant, mealy bugs. I used my trusty Neem/Soap combo repeatedly but it didn't get rid of them. Even Malathion didn't seem to help much and it's not a good choice for hibiscus anyway. I gave them a foliar spray plus soil drench of this stuff 10 days ago and all bugs are gone. The plants are greening up and I can't ask more from a product, especially since they claim the drench protects for a year.

We have a Magnolia tree that's been ravaged by soft scale insects this summer. They crawl up the tree, latch onto branches and cover themselves with a waxy protective layer. The scale insects suck out sap and excrete honeydew all over the place. The honeydew covers leaves, then becomes moldy, turning the leaves black. It also attracts yellowjackets and other noxious insects. Eventually, the scale kills the branch and the leaves fall off. If left untreated, scale can kill the tree. Ordinary insecticide sprays do nothing, as they cannot penetrate the waxy shell of the scale insects. I ordered a gallon of this systemic treatment and applied as directed around the base of the tree. It takes a month or so for it to be absorbed up into the tree. I'm now seeing much fewer scales, and very little honeydew drip below. It seems to work well. I'll treat the tree again this fall to kill off any overwintering scales, and once more after petal drop next spring. BTW, I have used this same product in years past to protect a couple American Linden trees from Japanese beetles (they love to munch on Lindens). It works well against those pests.

VERY happy with this systemic. I have had terrible aphid problems on my Crepe Myrtle’s. I’ve sprayed them several times & within days aphids returned. So I researched & decided to try Bonide Annual Tree & Shrub Insect control, within a handful of days they were gone! I’m thrilled it worked SO quickly & the fact it will last up to a year..AWEsome. Also when compared to similar products the price for the size is fantastic. An easy to use solution for bugs.
