Contains a ton of examples. GREAT: if you're a researcher/botanist who is interested in looking up the papers. Bad if you're a student. He cites within the text so you spend a lot of time scanning for the next section that's pertinent to read.

I already owned this book long ago when teaching the subject to undergraduates....I though the date of 2008 given was for a new version...It was not!!..and this was not made clear by amazon.com review untill I ordered and received it...good text,but outdated!..

It said thata it was almost new and although I have had good experiences with the "almost new" books, this time it was not good at all. The book was very used and even underlined in some pages. And the price was very high for such a used book.
