Buyer Beware!
If I could give a ZERO start rating I would. This stuff is a complete waste of money. Now I have two disappointed children.

Doesn’t work at all!!
Sister bought this from Amazon for my 7 year old daughter for Xmas. She got the blue and purple/pink hair chalk. It doesn’t show up on her blonde hair. Worse still is the compact pulls out her hair and breaks the hair as you pull the hair through the chalk compact. Really disappointed. She also tried it on The Who’s that girl mannequin doll head and it doesn’t work.

This product will only work well on light colored hair
I picked this up at Target last night from the clearance section, so I only paid $2.67. At that price, I'd say it's a decent product except I really wish I knew what color this changes into! Even holding a lighter to the pallet itself didn't make it change color. The application isn't intuitive, but I kinda got it down pat once I read the instructions which said the little plastic piece that goes around the compact is to be used to push down the hair onto the pallet I found it easier however to just use my thumb on top of the hair and slide it down the shaft of the hair. I used it on my 5 year old who has extremely blonde hair, so it made it much easier for the pastel to show up. Fortunately, this hair chalk is not waxy like some products I've bought her which pulled her hair and didn't show up well if at all
