Makes a good, tight connection. Came with red & black heatshrink tubing to cover the connections.The people complaining about it melting don't know how to solder. Just crank the heat up a little more than you usually do so that the solder will actually flow, and you'll have no issues. Used these for quick disconnecting my subwoofers in my car.

Easy to solder,secure positive connection
Easy to solder leads to XT 60 connectors ,includes correct size heat shrink and has a positive locking mechanism. Truly an advancement in connector technology!

Good for the price.
I melted the first one I tried soldering. Then I realized if I join them with the mating it will heat sink and keep them aligned. This worked well. So just use a spare to join it with the mate to solder up and you'll be fine.

High quality and tight connection. Yes, anything melts if you heat it up enough. As long as you know how to solder properly you won't have a problem. Poor reviews are based on poor soldering skills.
