The label says it has magnesium glycinate and magnesium oxide.If so what is the ratio of the two?

Magnesium oxide is used as a buffering agent and it does not affect the way the magnesium bisglycinate is used by your body. How much magnesium glycinate is recommended to prevent migraines?

Hi Lisa,Thank you for your question. There isn't a blanket amount of magnesium that you should take to prevent migraines, as everybody's needs are different, depending on your health, diet and lifestyle. Saying that, I would recommend taking a higher dose of magnesium initially (300mg twice a day) and if that helps with your migraines, reduce the dose to 300mg a day. I also find that B vitamins can really help, specifically B2 (200mcg), B6 (12.5mg), B9 (250mcg) and B12 (200mcg), as well as CoQ10. This combination can really help with migraine prevention. Can these be opened and taken in water or a smoothie?

The taste is quite mild so it is just a matter of mixing it with something else that you like!
