The black foam part came apart (DISINTEGRATED) within a couple days. I literally took the filter out to look at it a few days after putting it in and it was dissolving. The water chemistry was fine. It's just super flimsy and NOT the same material as the original filter. Here's what we did. We took a piece of 16 inches by 10 inches black charcoal filter we had and cut about 6 little rings and placed them where this foam piece was. That was then put back into the pump and it's worked perfectly for us. The filter itself is good - the black part is inferior. Buyer beware.

They work

It was hard finding these somewhat unique filters -- but Amazon to the rescue. They fit great and are good quality. I noticed an immediate water quality change within 24 hours.

Black foam part deteriorated, clogged the pump and burned my pump out. Do not buy! Now my Spa is ruined.

these are great and I love the charcoal at the end helps to better filter last long also just clean with your hose sprayer like once a week

These are great for spa in a box filters. They are low cost and fast shipping.

Purchased this filter as a replacement for the factory filter. Just after a month there was nothing left of the bottom black filter but sludge at the bottom. Top white part of filter is still in great shape, but I have to replace the whole filter because the water just goes around the whole filter with the black filter missing.Not sure if problem is just associated with the Spa-N-A-Box brand.I check my water daily, so I'm not sure why the black filter dissolved.
