ManCave Face Scrub 100ml/3.38oz

I really like this face scrub... it feels very "natural" and not like the full of "plastic beads" types. It's not as fine and sandy in texture like the Clinique face scrub (previous favourite - but very expensive). Or as "washy" as the Clarins scrubs... it kind of sits nicely between the two, but really feels like a premium product. Exfoliates without being too abrasive or drying out the skin - quite the opposite, its quite moisturising. I've always had a good regime from a young age (clean and clear and baby lotion until i hit my 40s!). I still use the clean and clear (sensitive) and a slightly lighter moisturiser (although baby lotion does still make an appearance!). Now in my 50s but no-one believes me! It definitely makes a difference and I really like this scrub within my daily/weekly regime (i use a couple of times a week). I also really like the fact that it uses natural finely grained olive stones for the exfoliating process. For the money, you really can't go wrong! My only gripe is I wish the bottle was a little more malleable, so that you don't have to wrestle the last bits out when you get to the end of the tube! Otherwise I love it and definitely recommend!

I've tried a few other face scrubs, and all have pros/cons. This one seems to be a bit better for people with skin that easily drys out (like mine). You only need a tiny amount, rub it around your fingers (dampen your hands and face before you start), and the product can go a long way. It's packed with small granules (sand maybe?) which help remove any surface build up. My one big pro is: your face actually feels notably more moisturized than with other face scrubs that I've used. Keep in mind once you use ANY face scrub, you should probably apply some sort of moisturizer/lotion immediately after (it helps remove oils, so inevitably your skin will be temporarily dry), but I've noticed this was much less harsh on my skin than others I've used. One slight con (not such a big deal) is the scent. A bit weird, but not a big deal. Smells very much like oatmeal and vanilla/sugar. Some people (like myself), have sensitive noses, so some strong scents can be annoying. However, it's very temporary and goes away within a few minutes after washing your face. Overall, I would recommend the product. Despite a strong perfume-ey smell, it does a great job and feels great on my skin. Also tip for people new to the face-cleaning routine: Only use Face Scrubs once or twice a week. (so spread out the days you use them). Overuse will result in damaging your skin in/severe dryness. Also, it is BEST to use a scrub immediately after cleaning your face. So after running warm water on your face and using a Daily Face Wash/Cleaner, THEN use the Face Scrub. Not before.

I have received this product and now used it a few times, which allows me to give it a comparable review to other ones I have tried. I think the scent is awesome, and it felt great on my face. I much prefer it to any brand that Safeway sells, and any other grocery store brand. I would say I would pay 15$ for this again in the future. I bought other man cave products Which I will be reviewing as well. I paid full price for this product.
