I haven’t even been taking this a week, and I had an infection in my body that has completely cleared up. Some people say you need to get used to the taste. I think it’s delicious. It’s way better if you heat up some milk and put you a big old scoop in it, but you can also do it with water if you’re trying to conserve calories. I think everybody needs this product. My allergies are gone too.

Chyavanprash is one of Ayurveda's most treasured foods. It is used as a general food to nourish the entire system, but in particular the nervous system. It is also an adaptogen which helps the body cope with stress, and an immune modulator. It is safe for all ages. It can be consumed year around. I take mine at bedtime, mixed into a mug full of warm water, as it will curdle milk. This particular brand is excellent. It dissolves readily and it is delicious. The taste includes all 5 flavors. If you are not accustomed to Indian spices you may find the flavor distasteful at first, but it will grow on you and the benefits of this product will want you to continue taking it. I find that this product, specially in the winter is very calming and seems to take the brittleness out of my skin. I order 6 jars at a time as it keeps a long long time without going bad. I found a jar in the back of my pantry that was dried out due to careless sealing on my part. I added a little water, and it reconstituted itself. It was fine, no difference from a new jar. The expiration date is for the benefit of the FDA. In India there are no expiration dates on products. Don't throw out your product if it goes beyond the expiration date. It is still safe.

The packing was excellent, the quality seems to be good, as well, just 4x costly as compared to India,.but it's fine, you pay for import products.

I had so much trouble eating this and it stayed basically uneaten in my pantry until I started adding it to my morning smoothie. Here is a recipe for you to try: Greek yogurt, Wyman frozen wild blueberries, banana, your choice of liquid such as kvass/soy milk/kombucha, optional choice of boosters such as bee pollen, colostrum, powdered greens or protein powder, and one or two tablespoons of this Chywanprash as a sweetener and flavor booster. Absolutely delicious! It tastes very similar to the açaí super antioxidant smoothie from Jamba Juice.

My best buy for a while. I am addicted to this jam. I am a westerner but love Indian food. I bought it because of good reviews and hoped to get something healthy. It feels very healing. The texture is like a heavy plum jam or like crystallized honey. It is pretty sweet, but not too sweet. A great feature is that it produces a whole series of tastes which a felt one after another. First is physical sensation, then hot pepper spicy taste (very mild), then I would say it is a taste of evergreen sap - like pine sap or frankincense - I am not sure which of the components gives it. It lists like 80 components and I trust that there is at least 15 major ones with great spice tastes and it feels healing. It helps with sadness, depression, feeling low. Some days I would take it 4 times a day. Really great - a good substitute for morning coffee - it wakes you up and gives a boost.
