Very good for the price, simple and effective.
I am going to use it both for books and a flat panel computer monitor (stand removed) on my recumbent exercise bike. Picture me playing games like Skyrim on my pc while burning calories... oh yeah. One day they'll make a mod that reads my speed and translates it to character run speed and I will be ripped. I teach online classes so that too, I enjoy multitasking. The GoodSo incredibly simple and quite light, super strong plastic, clear so I can move my book to read display. Fits my exercise bike which is not a common brand. Accommodates nearly all sizes of books (with one small problem noted below). Seems that it will stay in place, even though I plan to secure it more (hey I am putting a monitor on it, which is not normal). The BadIt covers my entire display/control module, so I have to get behind it to change speed or program. It doesn't come with any way to secure it strongly so I am adding some velcro-type strips to the top where it rests on the top of the display. The holder is fairly deep for the books, as it should be. Holds my massive textooks, but I will be using a random piece of something to hold smaller ones fully open. Would be great if it had bulit-in solution.

Fits nicely on my Peloton Tread
Fits nicely on the Peloton Tread display. It will also easily hang on the bar along the front and side of the Peloton when not being used.

Simply Spectacular!!
I have an older treadmill with no ipod plugins or book holders etc (though it does have a cup holder woohoo! lol). At any rate, as a student, I REALLY wanted to be able to read while I run and this little piece of plastic magic allowed that to happen. I can still see my treadmill stats (time, distance, speed etc) but most importantly I can see my book! Turning pages is a breeze and moving the book holder (sliding from side to side if I need to see "under my book" or taking it on or off the treadmill) is simple. No brains or effort required. (I LIKE SIMPLE).Book Size is also a non-issue. I have used this with smaller paperback books as well as magazines and huge biology hardcover textbooks along with a variety of other sizes. It just works and I can even leave a highlighter laying on it for use (granted squiggly highlights are still an issue *grin*). I am tickled pink :)P.S. it also works as a "stuff holder". I caught my daughter using it to hold her ipod, a dry rag, and her cell phone while she ran...

Now I can read which exercising!
I have been looking for something to hold my books while I ride my stationary bike. Reading and holding a book is not comfortable. I found this, determined it would fit over the handles, covering the monitor and ordered. It fits great and it holds my books. People must not read books anymore as I had a difficult time finding one. Everything is for phones, tablets and even laptops. If you still read good old-fashioned BOOKS, this should definitely work for you. It is quite sturdy and came packed in lots of bubble wrap to prevent breakage. Well worth the money!

Serves its purpose
I only use my treadmill a few times a month, just to mix up my workouts, and because I spent a lot of money on it a couple of years ago when I was really into running (obviously not anymore).I don't have a TV where my treadmill lives in the basement and decided to try passing the time with books.I've had this for about a year and it really is just "ok".It wiggles around quite a bit on my mode (ProForm XP 580), but does clip over the top and has never fallen off. It does rest on some of my buttons, particularly the speed increase, and sometimes if I move just right, it will increase the speed.I will continue to use it with the same infrequency this coming year and glad I purchased it for such a low price.I purchased one for my mom and her model treadmill is much older and she doesn't have problems with wiggling or moving and absolutely loves hers.

book holder for treadmill
was a pretty good choice although the side that hooks over the console could be deeper for those larger consoles, but in any case it still works because it is well balanced.

Simple, effective...just works!
This is a piece-of-cake review! Simple product, exactly what you see, and it works well. Clear plastic allows easy "read through" to your machine's control panel. And I find it's easy to slide the unit left or right (with magazine/book in place) to get a glimpse of the panel while reading/pedaling. Installation is, hmmmm....well, you just hang it over your panel and you're done. If the rest of life were only so easy! You'll find that turning the pages will hang up a bit on the lower holder, not an issue for disposable magazines, but you'll want to be a bit more careful with that rare book. Good product, works as advertised, and I find no reason for anything fancier. Now go pedal away those pounds!

good to use on an elliptical machine
This protects my ipad and supports it so it is less likely to get thrown to the floor. I had another one for a long time - until I stupidly left it on the floor and stepped on it. It's clear lucite . . .

works
works like it should could be a little deeper on the top as it wont go over some treadmills with thick displays
