I picked this set up since I've been 3D printing some containers, and 3D printing tiny hinges that are sturdy enough for use can be a challenge.I recently had a box that held a rosary break on me, so I designed and 3D printed a new one out of PETG, and lined the interior with felt.These hinges and hasps made designing and assembling the box MUCH easier and enjoyable. I took some measurements during the designing process and added holes for the mounting screws in the box so the box halves printed with mounting holes in them already. So all I had to do was clean the halves up, glue in and trim the felt, and screw the hinges and hasp to the box.I have a slightly strained hand from work I've been doing at my job, so I used my SKIL brushless drill to drive the screws in. Doing that showed me that these hinges and hasps are somewhat flimsy despite their being metal. I installed the hasp halves first and almost punched screws completely through them since I couldn't get a reliable clutch setting on the drill. I was more cautious driving the hinge screws in and didn't have any problems there.I don't know if the hinges and hasps are real bronze or just plain iron but these aren't suited to a tough, heavy duty use environment. For my rosary box, they look and work great. But even just for a small tool box, I think these might fail if they're exposed to any punishment.

Most of the hinges and hasps I have used so far are ok quality for what you pay. There are some that have burs or incomplete holes punched out for the screws, but they can be filed from the back, if necessary. Overall, they served the purpose I bought them for, which was to make wooden boxes. If you pre-drill your screw holes, no issues with applying the screws into the wood.

I bought these to put a wooden box together for my desktop. They worked just fine for me. It is a light duty use. I used both the hinges and the hook. I was looking for hinges and hooks with screws that were shallow and these were. I didn't want them extending through the box and being exposed. These hinges are actually heavier duty than the ones that originally came with my box.

This was going to be a 4 star review, but I moved it up to 5 due to all the ridiculous 1 star reviews. Those are obviously from the competition. I'm not sure what you can expect from tiny little hinges and hooks. They aren't supposed to be Fort Knox caliber. Nothing you use them on will have an industrial sized lock on them. They're for crafts or small boxes. I looked at several of the hinges to see if they were shoddy, but they weren't. They look completely suitable for small items. If you're expecting more, look elsewhere. I'm perfectly happy with what I received.

This is a fairly large package of small hinges, screws, and both sides of a hook latch. See photos for scale and package contents. They are obviously intended for very lightweight crafts, boxes, etc since they're made of pressed metal and will bend easily under strain. I bought them for smaller crafts, so I can work with them on some light tasks, but be advised that you may need to pre-drill the holes for the screws if you're using denser wood. I twisted the heads off two screws (leaving them embedded in my test wood) trying to attach the hinge to some oak.

These hinges were perfect for the set of 9 boxes I made as prizes for our annual Champions Tournament. The construction was solid and every one worked perfectly. The boxes were made of reclaimed mahogany and walnut. The woods were dry and very hard. I predrilled the screw holes with a pin-vice, and waxed the screws with beeswax. The screws locked in solidly and none of them stripped or broke. From what I can tell, they are made of high quality steel, and all were finished in antiqued bronze as advertised. Great quality for the price.

These are a recommended buy if whatever you put them on isn't going to be used daily since eventually they will not last with daily use. These are a great deal and looks great but they are no very sturdy. The metal isnt durable.

half the screws broke just from installation. I am not sure what metal they are made from but it's very poor quality. don't waste your time using the screws that came in this order go buy better ones from a hardware supplier.
