Easy to use and set up

I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to validate the negative reviews this item has received. Despite the negative feedback I had read about this and similar products, there were enough "just follow the directions and calibrate it and you'll be fine" reviews to convince me to take I a chance and order one.I have worked with a variety of lab equipment, so felt confident in my ability to calibrate and use this meter. I thought it odd that it wasn't stored with the probes immersed in a buffer of some sort, but again, thought it was worth giving it a shot. This thing is junk. Don't waste your time or your money. Not only were the readings inaccurate when compared to a validated testing method, they were highly inconsistent, too. Pass on this one and keep looking!

Was looking for a quick easy digital measure of at least Chlorine and PH. This one does do that with details. It requires to calibrate for Chlorine test each and every time and says it does not need any agents but the instructions tell you to calibrate with 1.5ppm control agent. You can just calibrate it to the "C" which is the factory default but if you want accuracy as a concern it takes a bit extra to get to the point of an accurate reading. Also , there is no "off" switch. It says to put it in the PH position and store it there. But does not say if it is needed for a PH reading in which case the battery would be in use. Currently I'm just taking the battery out while the pool is doing this well and MAY leave it in over night when the readings are off and takes a couple days to get them all back to good points. I did however like the sensor does have a place to be kept on the side of the unit.

This works like a charm on our spa! Now I don’t need to buy test strips anymore. Glad I bought it. Easy to calibrate and gives accurate results. I do recommend you to clean the probes to get accurate results.

El cloro siempre chequea con exceso. Cuando se usa otro tipo de probador el cloro se encuentra a nivel o le falta. con el PH no se sabe pues cuando se coloca como indican las instrucciones inmediatamente se coloca en la posicion de optimo

Bought this meter to use in a backyard pool. Test strips are hard to read, and the liquid test kits are pricey. Received this meter only to find out that you have to “calibrate” the chlorine feature with a liquid test kit.
