OK if you don't mind bubbles -- and no, it's not cling film
When I saw other reviewers talking about "bubbles", I assumed they had missed removing the cling film, as I've done in the past. But no -- for some reason, this does leave somewhat unsettling "bubbles" on the back of the pretty little iPhone SE. My guess is that that is because the fit, while tight enough to hold it on well, is not tight in back, leaving places where there is a gap between phone and case, causing a bubbled appearance. If you don't mind that, this seems like a decent case, with enough of a lip to protect the front screen and bezels from most falls. And the fit is loose enough so that if you like to remove the case frequently, particularly when you charge the SE, or are running it for long periods of time -- the SE apparently runs hotter than any other iPhone, getting above 41ºC, and long exposures to that heat will shorten battery life considerably -- then you'll like the convenience of being able to pop it off and put it back on so easily. But I prefer my prior case, the LUVVITT Clearview https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A9LVC2K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , which looks identical but has a very tight fit -- and no bubbles!

Two Annoying Design Flaws
For some people, this case will likely be satisfactory: it's very reasonably priced, it's clear, and it seems relatively protective. But two design issues frustrated me.First, no matter how many times I try, I can't find a way to get the case on without creating significant visible air bubbles on the back, which move when I press on them and mar the appearance of the back of the phone (instead of noticing the back of the phone itself through the clear case, I mostly notice the unsightly bubbles). I'm using it on a new iPhone SE, not a 5S, though given their almost identical design (and the fact that this is now being marketed as an iPhone SE case), I don't think that should explain the problem.Second, and less significant, the portion of the case that covers the lock button is so close to flush with the case, it's hard to press. I have a very similar clear case (made years ago by Belkin) for my old iPhone 4S, and the lock button is much easier to press because that portion of the case sticks out further to form a real button. (I've also never had air bubble issues on the back of that case). So if you need a cheap clear case and aren't as picky as I am (you don't care about the possibility of air bubbles showing on the back or the lock button being a bit hard to press), you might be satisfied, but otherwise, I'd recommend trying a different clear case.

Nicely designed case! company fixed defect I pointed out in design & sent a new one!!!
UPDATE (4/16/2015): Bumped up to 5-stars - this company is *extraordinary* and a testament to how it pays to work with a local family-owned business that cares! They read my original review below, had a new mold made and sent me a replacement - it was in my mailbox before I even had a chance to ask if I was going to get a new one! Now to be fair, the power button still felt a bit stiff but after using it a week, it is much **IMPROVED** - I don't get any more misfires when I attempt to take screenshots using the home & power button - yeay! I'd give this company 10 stars if I could! This is a very well constructed case. It's not flimsy, has no irregularities. No odd chemical smells. and it looks great on my silver 5s! (so the picture is correct :)My only gripe is the power button is so firm, it doesn't have that tactile "click" the volume up/down buttons have (try it without a case on your iPhone, it's very subtle but important). So when I got to put my phone to sleep, the only feedback you will get is the screen blanking out. I would prefer to get the same "click" i get when I push the volume up/down buttons (which works just fine with this case on).I have to admit, it's really nice to get the attention of a family-based company. I've had too many items shipped from China that not only took forever to receive - half of them didn't fit the bill. Now to be clear, the case is still made in China - you can count on this company to pay attention to QC (quality control) and to listen to whatever feedback you wish to provide them. It sounds like they are very liberal in providing replacement cases to ensure you are satisfied. I'd be happy to bump this rating up to 5 stars if the power-button issue is addressed and it sounds like a design issue more than a defective case (I could be wrong!)As for the ports - I'm happy to say after taking the jump without asking anyone here, the wider Amazon Basics lightning cable fits! I'm also pleased to see both my Apple EarPod headphones fit fine and more importantly, a 1/8" cable I use to pipe audio directly from my iPhone into my mac (using Audacity if anyone is curious!) This cable was intentionally designed to fit the narrow headphone port of the original iPhone - it still works great :)

Clear Protection
I was reading about some people complaining about the on/off button and the case not being clear. The on/off button is very easy and the case clear as could be. Perhaps over time, the clearness may fade, but I don't think so. I ordered an identical case for my iPhone 5c and ordered the matte finish, which is not clear. My iPhone 5s is silver and I'll never understand why the cellphones are made so beautiful, but then you have to cover it with a case. My old case was hard, but very nice. That case was difficult to use and the power and volume buttons were hard to use. This case is clear, buttons are easy and best of all, I can see my beautiful phone. Good grip, as well. I recommend it, highly.OK, I was wrong about the power button, so I took away 1 star. However, this is still a great case and protects the phone. I know, because I accidentally dropped it at least 5-6 feet. My first review was posted the day I got it, and I had no problems turning it off and on. Being right handed I hold my phone in left hand and use the finger next to my thumb, to turn it on and off. No problem that way, but if I try and use the button in my right hand, or try and press it on a table, it is much harder. I suppose if it bothers anyone, you could cut it out, but really don't think it's that hard to get used to. I'd still give it 5 stars, but after reading about this in other reviews, I had to be honest. Honestly, it works great and provides protection, while allowing me to admire my silver iPhone.
