Quality!
I could not disagree more with the previous reviewer! The copy I have is immaculate and one of the most attractive books I have received in years - I couldn't tell you the gsm of the paper but I have compared to my other vocal reference books and it is much thicker that the others I have, the colour and printing is crisp and clear throughout. The illustrations appear to be original and the pages are certainly all in order. I can only think that 'Strayficshion' received a test print and should send it back for replacement as they are missing out. The preference for a soft cover is personal choice but in this instance I feel the hard cover lends an additional level of quality that really makes "This is a Voice" stand out - I've had so many people comment on just the appearance, everyone wants to pick it up! Physical qualities aside ("Don't judge a book by it's cover"), the content of the book is excellent and accessible, with something for the beginner or expert - Please don't be put off by 'Strayficshions' experience!

Amazing Book!
This book is amazing and I think everyone should read it, even if you don't sing. I wanted to learn to sing but I also talk for my work and this taught me the importance of looking after your voice. I was getting a sore through due to talking so much for work. This explains everything about muscles around our voice and balance, and exercises to help even for just talking or before a speech. I highly recommend this book to people who talk a lot and people who would like to learn or better their singing voices. Came in good time too.

Good indepth info
Bought as a gift. Have looked through and it appears particularly relevant for singers but I am also hoping good for those who use their voice professionally speaking or presenting

You ask me to recommend a book on singing? This is the one!
At last, a book for anyone who sings or has a longing to. This is written so well that anyone can access the crucial step by step information and application of how to sing. As a voice coach of 40years, I am often asked to recommend books on singing. Until now, there have only ever been highly technical and wordy 'tomes', designed primarily for voice professionals, or shockingly, 'nice books on singing' which are often (not always) inaccurate in their technical information. The cover is interesting and daring though not something I would have necessarily been drawn to. However, it's intriguing and made me want to open it for that reason alone. It does in fact draw the eye towards it. I am already recommending it to my students as being one of the best books I have seen which so clearly explains how to sing.... Congrats to Jeremy Fisher & Gillyanne Kayes!

Simple, practical and relevant.
Loved this.Simple, practical and incredibly relevant to voice usage. An easy to use quick reference guide.I understand the comments about page and font colour but found, if anything, this helped me identify certain areas quicker. Appreciate the challenges this may cause some readers but for me, being dyslexic, this was a very easy read.

brilliant
This has so much information that I learnt more about the voice as it illustrated ways of expression using vowels within talking and singing. Excellent information
