The flow rate is determined by your housing port size and water pressure, but it can handle up to 10 GPM on a 1-inch port system. We recommend keeping it at a slower flow rate to allow enough contact time with your water as it will provide better filtration. Hope this helps.

I don’t have horrible iron problems but it definitely took the iron out.

Yes, this filter is but the other filter is washable, so you only replace this one!
