Got these on sale - great carabiner at a fantastic price
Have used Mad Rock carabiners for years. When these went on sale, I bought four! Quality is second to none, and the operation is as smooth as silk.

Excellent.
I bought this oval carabiner to add to my collection because it is oval. Oval carabiners seem to not cross load when weighted and unweighted as easily as pear carabiners. I really like it so far. It also had the largest opening of all the screw locking oval carabiners I saw on Amazon, even beating out the Petzl OK. For what I wanted it for, this was an excellent buy.

Real carabiner, real strength, and it locks.
It's a screw lock real carabiner for handling heavy weight. Excellent quality for my needs - hanging up a heavy backpack and looking cool. I can't comment on its use for mountaineering/rappelling, but if I ever need to rappel from my office window, assuming I can find rope, I'd trust it. Light, strong, locks.

No fault biner
Sturdy, good capacity, and polished finish. Think I prefer round profile carabiners, but this will handle about anything you throw at it. Reasonable price.

Fit and finish is excellent! Very smooth and light. You can tell they've been tested for strength, so I wouldn't hesitate to climb with them.

Great value for a basic locking oval
Been using these biners for about six months now and am really happy with them. Nice smooth action on the locking mechanism and gate. They've become my standard oval.My use-case is technical tree climbing, which is essentially a form of aide climbing. The end of the oval easily accommodates a typical pulley, along with the eyes of an eye-to-eye prusik cord (~8-9mm). (Will also work with a Rope Wrench tether or similar crammed in, but it's a tight fit!)Some people have commented on being uncomfortable with the locking screw, and how far it covers the nose of the gate. I've inspected the half-dozen Mad Rock ovals that I've purchased over time - and they're all the same, and similar to any other screw-lock biners I've ever used. The screw mechanism is NOT intended to cinch the gate tight, there needs to be some play there to meet EN 12275 standards and ensure that the gate doesn't stick closed under load.
