Somen Tsuyu so delicious, multiple applications for it too!
Kikkoman Somen Tsuyu soup base is delicious as always and I am loving this larger bottle as for many years I was used to only finding the much smaller size locally. If you have never tasted Somen Tsuyu it is a sweet soy flavor, very light and delicate with that bit of dashi flavor from the bonito. I use it for cold noodles as instructed but I find it is perfectly suitable for a hot soup as well. There are tsuyu designed for hot soups though they are essentially the same ingredients, maybe just more robust.I purchased 2 bottles through prime pantry as the price point was pretty great that way, and I cannot get this locally any longer and as I mentioned, it was only ever the small bottle anyway.I will say that once opened it is recommended to use within 3 days which could be difficult if only using as a dipping sauce for cold noodles, but as mentioned above, expand its uses and it will be gone quickly. For a Japanese food fan, a must try

Diluted Smokey Caramel Water
For me, this liquid is o.k. but not as flavorful as some reported on different sites. It is not concentrated. It is like a very light soy sauce with less salt, a kiss of caramel, and a pinch of the sea. Since it is light and is a combination of flavors it isn't TOO Anything.Unfortunately, they essentially want you to throw the product away after only three days in the fridge after opening! So if you cant use seventeen ounces immediately you have a decision to make. I ended up using some of the remainder with worcestershire and other condiments to flavor browned beef for a pasta sauce. How dangerous is this if consumed after three days???Using this solo as a dipping sauce for cold noodles was underwhelming since it was so watery. Nothing really clings.

A requirement for zaru soba.
It's a bit expensive, but what are you supposed to do when you crave zaru soba? Very good product. Japanese packaging is always incredible (often excessive, but not this one).

The flavor is great - just like I remember it from Japan
The flavor is great - just like I remember it from Japan. However, I was very disappointed that the use before date was only 9 days from when I received the bottle. I like somen, but seriously. It will be a challenge to eat that much. Please update your inventory or your description to reflect if that is always the case...

Great soba dipping sauce
Ready to use soba dipping sauce. I love zaru soba - cold buckwheat noodles dipped in sauce. For some extra zip add some ground daikon & Wasabi to the dipping sauce. Love the flavor, not overly salty but leaves a great taste in your mouth.

Four Stars
Great but it says once opened it'll only last a few days.
