Decent blade steel. Quality tight wrap of handle. Hard to find fault for the price. I would not rely on this for a so called self defense tool. No guard to prevent hand from sliding on to the sharp edge. BTW. The blade is ok sharp. Not nearly as sharp as one would expect. Will be sharpening this soon. It takes a little bit of trial and error in finding the right place to thread through your belt as in where you do so. In front or behind the belt loop nearest where yku will tuck the knife into the inside of the belt or even your wait band. The lanyard length is set where when the knife is tucked in, the handle will still stick out enough to reach it. You pull on the handle and the lanyard keeps the sheath attached to your belt. One hand to deploy. Two to reinsert into sheath and tuck back under belt/waistline.

finally a good knife from CRKT. I already had a big one from the same brand. I loved it, but one day I wanted to fix the bearings and they all fell out, because it was made cheap. BUT I LOVE THIS ONE. you can carry it on your bald and pull it pikal.

Wowwww! I can tell you this knife is really sharp. It didn't took 15 minutes from its opening that I cut myself because I was negligent. I thought it wasn't really sharp from factory so I put it aside on the couch. When I moved to reach for it, my finger went straight for the blade. Blade was so "scalpel" sharp that I almost didn't felt it, but only felt a little sting. After a few seconds, I saw blood coming out from my finger. At that moment, I did understand that it sharp enough from factory that you could even practice chirurgical interventions. Ahahha Seriously, since then the blade is always in its well-made fiberglass-reinforced polymer sheath. Pass your belt through the string loop and fix to your belt with the skull's bead. Works great. Give it enough slack so it can be tucked inside the pants at the 1 o'clock position (if you're righty). If you have a little belly, it even can be worn more discreetly, as it cannot even be seen. Untuck your shirt and it becomes invisible. Seriously, this knife is made for a self-defense purpose and looks like a high quality japanese knife. Awesome tool. Must buy for the price.
