Stronghold Crusader Extreme (PC DVD)

Bought this for the kids after they saw an old copy at their cousins house. Now they are addicted! They love building castles, armies and villages. Especially like choosing who they will battle alongside or against. Fun and easy to use. Old fashioned graphics but still brilliant!

i've been a huge fan of Stronghold and the extreme stand to the expectations. the game remains the same but the levels are hard to play with but still love go back again and fight.

I think the first version of this came out in about 2001 and now we have the "extreme" version. New campaign with the extreme levels added on.I got this as a gift for my nethew who was getting a computer for christmas. I was sorting his new PC out and decided to have a go as I was leaving it pre-installed and was there for hours! Started with the extreme thinking I could take it and 30 seconds later I was on fire and defeated. The normal levels take you from beginer to hardcore and has something for everyone. Think of it as command and conquer in the middle ages.

The gameplay is simple but the game lacks the free play mode which is present in the other Stronghold games. The maps are good but for me, the fact there can be up to 10,000 troops on the battlefield makes it slightly unrealistic and a frustrating game to play.

Found the game slow and repetitive and ended up playing it on full speed just to dull the manotomy. Just didn't enjoy it.

I still remember being hooked, the minute I started playing the "original" Stronghold game. The idea of placing army on the walls was beyond my wildest dreams back in the late 90s. Then came the Crusader with all the new maps and units. Then came the Crusader Extreme. I am only rating it for the second 30-mission campaign, as I did not understand the purpose of the "Extreme" version. I liked the concept of no limits in the army, but that thing is absurd,

CRUSADERの50面Warchestの30面EXTREMEの20面他シナリオ10数面と100面以上のボリュームがありかなり長時間楽しめますゲーム内容はAoE等と同じのRTSです木や石を住民を使って集め建物を建て兵を雇って敵城主を倒すのが目的ですAoE系とは違い城を作って自陣の守りを固め敵の攻撃を追い払うのが楽しい相手が居ればオン対戦も可能？自分はやった事無いですが後敵の居ないマップでのんびり城作りをやったりするモードもあります。結構昔のゲームなので最近の高スペックPCじゃなくても快適に動作すると思います。1000円前後なら値段分以上確実に楽しめます難点は英語なのでストーリーモードなどがほとんど理解出来ない所ゲーム内で同盟者の救援なのがわかりにくい所。
