Advanced EMT Exam Secrets Study Guide: Advanced EMT Test Review for the NREMT Advanced EMT Exam (Secrets (Mometrix))

This book is easy to read it's broken up into two smaller books so easy to carry around and an online link for additional study tips. The information is great lots of details on medical and how they are treated. That said I had to continue to check the cover of the book to make sure I got the advanced emt book for NREMT because it talks alot about paramedic drugs Evan goes as far as what the phycian will be giving at the hospital. While I thought it was valuable information to know for patient care it just not directly relate to the NREMT exam for AEMT. the two practice test included in the book has alot of questions for medication paramedics use some of the questions where not discussed in the book before I took the practice test so I was looking up all these drugs I won't be using any way and how they interact. While it was informative and I feel more confident when I go to work the streets with some of the knowledge I learned it's not really relevant to the test. I took the NREMT once and failed so I got this book to help with my study it definitely supplements my text and work book for J&b the online portion has some good advise for time management and test tips. My only complaint really is I was hoping the practice test was more like the actual test and relates specifically with our scope of practice. I will be retaking my test in the next week and will update my review once I complete my studies and test.

As a retired USAF Medic (9 years retired). I recently enrolled into and ARMT course here in my small community. Though I was a NREMT for over thirty years, now getting back in the saddle to study, I am truly grateful for this book.•Appreciate the simplicity and layout of this book. It is augmenting my study program as I just began my AEMT course.

As of now I haven't taken the exam. I purchased them both because I failed the exam. But I'm hoping that these items help me. I think they will. I'm enjoying them.

This study guide is straight to the point. It doesn't fill the pages with fluff that's not really necessary. This makes the chapters short and makes it easier to study. I liked how the first few pages explained how to correctly study and how to take tests.

While in the process of getting into nursing school I let my state EMT-E expire, when I went to try to re enter I found out I had to not retake the state EMT-E test, but I had to take the national registry AEMT test, this gave me a great guid to the new curriculum, and I passed on my first try!

The book has a good synopsis of information, but the practice tests are NOT helpful. In the photo above, see the same exact question, with the answer given from the book highlighted, but the same answer choice is incorrect for the second question. Very confusing test questions that are mostly at a level above AEMT. Test questions will unnecessarily stress you out or make you think you don’t know enough to pass because they are way out of the AEMT scope. The 2nd practice test doesn’t even give explanations for the answers. Use this book for quick info, but not to practice test questions. Would not buy again, would not recommend. This book needs updated revisions.

Having read the material, I find it much easier than a traditional textbook. Not only does it save time, it gives you good information in an easy to understand format. I feel like I’ve learned more reading this than what I’ve taken away in class.

I am a current AEMT student. This book is very helpful. It gives a break down of the information that's needed to know in a shorter format. It also includes ALOT of helpful information, tips you probably won't find anywhere else. It was received in a timely manner and item was as described. I highly recommend.
