Portable Mini Speaker for iPhone/iPad/iPod/Tablet, 3W Cellphone Speaker with 3.5mm Aux Input, Clear Loud Sound in Compact Golf Size Body (Passion Red)

When I bought this, I did not read the description very well and thought it was a lot smaller then it is. It says that it is about the size of the Golfball right in the specifications and I failed to read that, so that is my fault. I was hoping to have something that I could carry around in my shirt pocket, but this is way too big for that. It would be okay to carry in a purse or maybe cargo pants, but not a shirt pocket. Having said that, it does do what it claims that it will do. I have a Samsung Glaxay S6 Active smartphone that already has a pretty loud speaker, but sometimes, if there is a lot of cannot clearly hear it because I am partially deaf in my left ear and have bad tinnitus. I wanted something that was a lot louder than the built-in mic on my phone. There is no question that this mini mic is louder. It is definitely louder. How much louder is hard to tell though; so I decided to do some testing. I have a BAFX 3370 Digital Sound Meter that I bought here on Amazon about a year ago. I have a BAFX3370 Digital sound meter. I placed the phone about two inches from the sound meter and played a song as at max volume on the phone. I set the meter record the max Decibels. The phone maxed out at 89.4 decibels. I then played the same song on the phone with the mini speaker plugged in at max volume. It maxed out at 94.4 decibels. So, a total of 5 decibels of difference. I am no sound engineer, so I really don't know a lot about how to calculate what 5 decibels of difference is in terms of how much louder it is then 89.4 decibels. The fact is, decibels are hard to figure out, even by experts, because there are so many other factors that play a part. I present the results of this test only to show that the microphone is louder than the built-in speaker on my Galaxy S6 Active phone. That much is true. To my ear, this mini speaker is significantly louder than the speaker on the phone. I hope this review has been helpful. If it has, please smash the "HELPFUL" button. Thanks

I would not purchase this again. It enhances the volume of my android devices, but the quality is MEH. Also, it kept spinning around when I was playing games on my device so I had to keep adjusting it so the speaker was facing me. I ended up purchasing a Bose Soundlink II Special Edition and use Bluetooth connection. Obviously there will be a difference in a $140 unit compared to this one, but you would be better off purchasing some type of Bluetooth speaker than this thing. The Bose is phenomenal and I love listening to music through my androids. I also have a JBL Charge4 and the Bose is much more compact and the sound quality is richer.

THIS IS A BLUETOOTH SPEAKER! Everything in the description says it plugs into a device. Some reviews mentioned a Bluetooth function. I asked the manufacturer, K Tech who said it is not Bluetooth. The box and enclosed directions indicate it is Bluetooth. It IS BLUETOOTH. I tried it with my MP3 player, pressed the speaker's power button for 3 seconds and it produced a cute little tone and a light turned on. Then no sound from the speaker. Turned up the MP# volume and no sound at all. Turned if off by pressing the power button for 3 seconds, got the same cute chime again. Then had my son try it as a Bluetooth speaker and it worked perfectly. For people who are saying this doesn't work (no sound) they are probably using it as a wired speaker. I'm' giving it 5 stars because its, tiny, red, and cute and seems to work fine as a Bluetooth speaker. But wired- Big NO.

We have only had this speaker about 3 weeks, but so far I love it. Our handicapped has ridden the little yellow bus for years and her portable CD player is always on for the trip. She needs a portable speaker on the player which we put in her backpack. I have purchased many, many mini speakers over the past 15 years, and so far this is the best. I am confused as to why others said the volume isn't high enough. I purchased another on Amazon at the same time, and at it highest volume, you could barely hear it. This one has the loudest volume that I have ever had on a portable speaker with the clearest sound. I was very pleasantly surprised, and hope it lasts. You do have to charge it with a charger as compared to just having a battery, so sometimes that catches me unaware, and I can't just run in and change the battery for the ride if need be. It is also a little hard to tell if it is on or off with the very small push button on the bottom, and I do wish it had a light on the exterior that so that you would more easily know when it needed to be charged, but I still like it much better than the other 6 or 7 mini speakers I have purchased over the years.

I would not recommend this product unless, not wanting to spend very much and sound quality doesn't matter. I wanted a speaker for my old ipod that doesn't have Bluetooth, I found this little one. This speaker works perfectly to hear voices only but, poor musical sound quality. Value for the money is as expected for the low price. It works and is very portable.

So…my iPad stopped playing sounds, (too much moisture from an unfortunate ooops). There was an icon that said sound was via headphones. Ya know, you do an online search looking for help and someone suggested an external speaker. I liked the size (and price) of this one and gave it a go. It worked great! The next day my regular sound output returned to my iPad (but is super sensitive and cuts out when the humidity is high) but a few days later, I was back needing the speaker. It’s great to have around for those times when I need it. Small, compact, easy to use and recharge, with a fine sound. I am very happy!
