Light Box Tracing, Lifecolor A4 LED Light Pad Dimmable Brightness

This is my 3rd lightbox. Yes, I am a bit of a hoarder. I will compare it to one of my other ones (SEE PHOTOS) showing you the differences.PROS:-smaller size, thinner, less weight than others-despite being smaller, it actually fits an entire 8.5”x11” sheet of paper!-has the dot feature so you don’t go blind when you take that paper off-can easily be transported, not just due to small size but also because there isn’t a cord protruding out from the side so you don’t have to worry about being careful not to bend it (this is what broke my first one)CONS:-there are no inches... but my other two don’t show inches either so....-that’s all I could think ofA bit more about this one— the measurements go up to 21cmx29cm but the lighted (lit?) are extends to about 21.75cm and 29.5cm.To turn it on, you simply plug it in and then touch the power button once. This will turn it on at the lowest setting. Touch the button one more time to make it brighter. And then once more to put it at the brightest setting. And then once more to turn it off. Aaaaand repeat. Because it’s just so satisfying.I also love that the charger is a usb so you could use another adapter if you’re traveling and don’t want to overpack. Or if you’re like me and forget/lose everything.Hope you found this helpful!

Our daughter has some issues with dexterity and desiring to write. I got this trace box as a way to entice her into writing by tracing existing letters. The box makes it far easier to see what she is doing and she things it is cool in general. The dimming feature is nice. It isn't as sturdy as a serious artist might want, but for our purposes the price point is right and it won't make me angry if it is damaged. All in all pretty good for our purposes, and hopefully she can have a little fun with this as well.

Great product for the price! I would definitely recommend buying again. The only problem is that it needs to be plugged in to use, which wasn't explained anywhere in the instructions and at first I thought the product was faulty. Easily fixed, but definitely can't take anywhere, must be near an outlet. Luckily the cord is long enough in most cases. Very lightweight. Had it for about a month and worked great for tracing with vellum paper. Could not find cheaper. Very much easier than using a light table. Thanks

I picked this up so that my kids could use it for tracing and work to improve the lines and shapes they draw. My loves it and has been using it to trace just about everything she can tear out of her coloring book.The device: Easy to use. Plugs in via USB and has multiple levels of brightness. Works great for tracing as you would expect with it being a lightbox. The device is very thin and light. It may survive a fall or may not. Probably depends how it lands.. Just don't drop it. Looking at the device with the light of maximum brightness I didn't blind myself which is a plus. While I wouldn't advise staring into it you won't hurt your eyes if you turn it on without paper on it. Overall a nice inexpensive lightbox that stores easily when not in use.

Coming from a traditional light box (regular bulb and 1.5 inches tall), this LED version makes a huge difference. First of all, it super thin - it’s less that 0.5mm, no more hovering on the 1.5 inches tall surface and I can full press onto the paper, making the tracing process much easier. Second is the lighting distribution - it is nice and even. Third is the level brightness - it really helps to have brighter light to use during the day, and softer ones at night so it won’t stress my eyes.For clarification there is no internal battery to power on itself so it has to be always plugged in, but I’ve been using it with one of the many portable batteries that I have and it has been working perfectly.

Review update:I have tried again with just regular vinyl and HTV without glitter.There is a difference you will see in the images I attached.So it does work well enough but it will not work on glittered vinyls. It’s hard to see.Mind you when I did black vinyl with complex details it was a little hard to see. I think for what I need it for I need to have that little dots out.All in all for the price it’s ok. Still works on some.————Original post:I just got this yesterday, I was so excited. I was going to use it for weeding stuff that my cricut cuts. But I don’t know if maybe it’s the glitter HTV (heat transfer vinyl) or what but it was still hard to see.I took 2 pictures one with the light on and one with out.I am going to try it again with HTVs that are not glitter HYVs I will test it with regular vinyls and non glitter HTV and do an update.

the light is bright and it is easy to see the image. i am using simple printer paper here. when you look for the port, you think it wont have one because it is so thin. but it is there and its lit so you can see where it is. you can use it USB, but it also comes with a block plug.i love it and i am going to run wild with the possibilities. i just got a wood burner a while back and feel so great about using complicated designs!when my son was young, i would copy his favorite images from ren and stimpy. im going to make better ones with this and sent them along as nostalgia.

Bought this for my daughter who loves to draw and says she wants to be an artist when she grows up. It was inexpensive and seemed like the perfect thing to help her with her anime drawing that she loves to do. It's light weight and durable so I didn't fear her toting it around the house and breaking. It does use a USB charger to charge. My only complaint is that it seems like one side maybe a little brighter than the other side. It still produces quite a bit of light but that was the only thing I noticed. Either way, this would be a great Christmas gift with some art books for the little artist on your life.
