I am the delightfully satisfied to find that this product fits and works better than the original GARMIN. To me the Garmin version of this power adapter for the car charger was very bulky and the length of the cord was not long. This product has a very long cord which works out great for me as I drive a semi truck and able to position my GPS mount in a very comfortable spot for easier viewing. Secondly the cigarette adapter allows me to utilize the charger to charge upto two other USB ports. Which maximizes the use of a single power source from my vehicle. It also lights up in a bluish color which is easy on the eyes and easy to find at night to confirm you are getting power. Nowadays a lot of cars power source does not work unless the key is in the on ignition position so this quickly allows you to know if there is power coming from the cigarette power source or not. If you're in the market to replace your power core from a Garmin or other compatible device, I HIGHLY AND STRONGLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING THIS ITEM. In the past I did purchase an item but it did not fit the correct direction of the cord which ultimately damaged it is why I needed to replace it and so happy I was able to find this one. Needed a new wire for my dashcam as Safelite cut through mine when replacing my windshield. This works great, the length is good to wrap around my windshield and be tucked away. The only aspect I don't like is the little orange tool, it's not very hardened so it bends immediately and is pretty much useless, but you can always use something else to tuck the wire. I have not plugged anything into the back of it yet like a phone charger, not sure if my car could handle that. I would recommend this to anyone though and would buy again if needed.

This adapter works very well for my Garmin GPS or using with my dashcam. Power cord is long enough to route from top center of windshield to right side then down past and under dash and over to the 12-volt power source. Also has 2 built in USB power ports on the adapter 1 1 amp and 1 2 amp which is handy to connect a cell phone to for charging.It also comes with 2 extra fuses in the event one goes bad.

I am not really familiar with voltages and whatnot when it comes to various devices, but before you buy this as a replacement for your current dash cam adapter, check the specs on your current adapter before purchasing this one. For some reason, my dash cam recognized this as a charger only, not a power adapter, and it will not record automatically and it will not connect to the rear camera when using this charger. Please note that this is a charger and not an AC/DC, adapter, and apparently there is a difference. I was able to hook this charger up to another dash cam that I have, and it worked as an adapter and started recording right away. Not sure what the difference between the two cameras is other than maybe the required energy input between the two are different. I digress. Other than that, I would say this product works great for the most part.

Recently bought this for my dashcam as the current power adapter failed. This exactly matches the description and fitted my Dashcam. The cord length was perfect to run the wire around and conceal it running it through the side. Exactly what I was looking for. Hope it lasts a while and appreciate the two extra fuse sets provided just in case for future use. Highly recommend.

This was rusted really bad where you plug your phone in. It was used and scratched up. It wasn't a cam either all it was for was charging.

This product was a life saver! I am an Uber driver. When the cable to my camera went out the company sad they would replace it, but it is coming from China so we are looking at 2-4 weeks. I count on my camera for my job to help try to key an eye on what I cannot see while I am driving.Other stores around town wanted $30 to $40 to replace this cable!!It is a great price but go here super fast!!It works great!
