product desccription/information.
delivery excellant. product is very sturdy easy to assemble although being rather frail needed son to tighten screws - required to be tightened very tightly.. I great for the bathroom and kitchen i.e. reaching shelves and getting into bath. I found it a little heavier than expected, but it is steel and not. made of aluminium., but I manage to lift it Price not too expensive..

Work well for getting in and out of bath

Very good
It's very useful for accessing those higher to reach places. And the "handle" aids stability nicely. However if your legs are weak, it is too high a step to step onto without some additional support/boost - I use a window sill to boost myself up as it is the tops of windows I have difficulty reaching

Manufacturing issue. Burrs not removed. Hazard due to assembly required.
The items. I ordered 2 one for downstair and one for upstairs. Required some assembly and where the tubing had been cut their was a nasty metal burr waiting to rip open your fingers or hand when trying to push the tubes together together to lock them. This is a failure in quality control from the manufacture of the item. A simple deburring tool or machine would have removed the burr. A nasty surprise for those who are not used to handling fabricated parts that go together. That will cause nasty tears in flesh due to the jaggered nature of the burr. I only found out as it caught on my jumper as I picked it up and started to put the first one together. Once I removed the burrs it was easy to assemble and it does what its suppose to.

Not suitable as a mobility aid.
This is very unsatisfactory. I purchased it because my 85 year old mum, who has severe arthritis and is very unsteady on her feet, is coming to stay and we only have an over-bath shower. I hoped this would help her climb in and out of the bath so that she can have a shower, but it is entirely unsuitable. Firstly the step height is too high - it is higher than an average stair riser. My mum will not be able to step up this high. Secondly the whole thing is wobbly as hell, even on an even floor with lino, and completely unsafe. It is not rigid or sturdy at all. It wobbles if you so much as nudge it with one fingertip! Thirdly there are no instructions supplied to help with putting it together. The nuts didn't thread onto the bolts very easily and the nuts and bolts seemed poor quality. I'm very disappointed and don't have time to order a better quality alternative before my mum arrives. Also I assume I can't get my money back as we didn't know how shoddy, wobbly and unsuitable it was until we'd put it together.

Handy.
Sturdy yet lightwieght. No need to bring the step ladders out now, no more streaching, this can be kept handy. Ideal for us more mature folk.

Amazing bath tub helper
Well I actually got in the bathtub with this step chair after having a fall at home I was unable to lift my leg over the bathtub.the only thing that's not so good it does appear to be unsteady when you step on it . it's a bit shaky I because the floor in the bathroom might be a bit uneven or the floor boards are a bit loose.
