I used these to mount my large (24"x15"x13", 47 pounds/each) vintage bookshelf speakers. The mount is quite secure on the wall. However, the mount was not robust enough otherwise - I was able to get the speaker to stand upright and straight, but the slightest touch made it wobble. With any forward tilt at all the speaker lifted out of the clamp dangerously. It was disappointing but not unexpected with this design and such a large speaker. Other reviewers have noted that there are screw holes, but I don't think you should have to put holes in the finish to get a solid mount. Also, it was so wiggly that simply securing the speaker to the mount would not be that much of an improvement. To get the mount to work, I put a screw eye in the wall and in the upper rear panel of the speaker, and ran a thin chain with S hooks to stabilize it. With that modification the mounts worked for my purpose. Even though I wasn't too happy with these out of the box, there is no other solution I could find for a tilting pivoting speaker mount, so to that extent I am satisfied. Also on the plus side they were inexpensive and would have worked very well for a smaller speaker, they arrived quickly, and they were a quality build with very simple assembly. To the manufacturer: You may want to revise your capacity ratings, or perhaps include the screw eyes/chain/S hooks or some other reinforcement in the kit.

A tight fit for 12 inch wide speaker with stand positioned on a side wall. The bracket can be adjusted to move speaker to the right or left. Though Not enough to allow speaker to swivel freely. The speaker hits the cover at the wall. However, I am confident speakers will not fall. Solid attachment to wall studs.
