Great Product !
Really needed to upgrade my home network and getting this switch was a great choice for me. The only thing I wish was that the vendor did a test before selling this item. One of the ports isn't working (notice port 17) and I can hear a screw inside when I move the switch around. Otherwise it's a good switch, fast and has been running since it came. The management application has a few quirks (isn't the best UI), but it gets the job done and it's very straight forward.Pros- Fast transfer/performance- Indicators are a blessing coming from my previous router- Web management- Not a hot unit + comes with a few power saving features- Do the research, there is a lot more great features, but these are things I thought I would highlightCons- 1 port didn't work- screw was loose (inside) when the item arrived

great 10 port switch
I have been using this in my network for over 1 and a half years. if you are a networking student this is a great switch to use before you go to a Cisco switch. the UI is not the most user-friendly but it is way better than cisco. this is a layer 2 switch with layer 3 blocking features. it will autoconfigure out of the box to a 10.0.0.1/8 network but this is easy to change via the online interface. the sfp ports are a breeze to set up and I currently have a cisco 3750 switch hooked up to it via one of these ports. the Dlink and Cisco switches will have a duplex mismatch to start with but if you leave the sfp duplex setting to auto they will self negotiate.

A great managed switch for the price.
The unit i bought was 'refurbished' which i think meant it was powered on and lights lit up. It came with an unknown password but after a factory reset it programmed and has been working perfectly.

Great switch!
This switch works a hell of a lot better than I expected. I'm using up all 10 ports. Have not tried the SFP ports yet, but plan on getting a second switch to stack using a direct connect cable. My furthest connection is approximately 100ft and with gigabit fiber internet.. out of a theoretical 950mbps "real world " speed.. the device speed tests at a range of 940 to 950mbps. This is with each port (minus one) feeding a device. Most connection I have ran Cat6 24awg, but there are a couple using the existing Cat5e 26awg.

Obviously Used. VERY Dangerous. DO NOT BUY
These are obviously used. They have an asset tag for a telecom agency in Brazil. There is a "Security Seal", but when you look at it, you can tell they put a clean security seal over a broken one. This is not a new device. Not only is it fraudulently being sold as new, but the seller is going out of their way to make it look new when it clearly is not.As a managed switch, this device is of unknown lineage and has the potential to infect your network with malware, intercept your data and send it to a 3rd party, or who knows what else.I'm returning this.Run away from this listing. Do not risk the security of your network on this device.

It's a computer part
Although now that I think about it, it's not a computer part, but a system part. Maybe? Anyway, I'm sure it's working well because hubby is not telling me about junky switches.

Great for a home lab
Bought this for a home lab. While I'm not a huge fan of the GUI to set it up, the amount of features supported by this switch compared to others I found at this price range is very impressive. Not much else to say - it looks and feels like a quality product, and works as you would expect.Documentation is lacking for layer 3 functionality, which I assume is a relatively recent addition to the firmware for this product. For my purposes this is a non-issue, but for others I suspect it could be problematic.

10p+2spf in realtà 8+2

Great managed switch
This is a great managed switch for an advanced home user or small business. VLANs work great. Just save yourself a support call and remember you must explicitly save the running configuration to flash before rebooting/power cycling the switch. Changes take effect immediately (running config), but are not saved to NVRAM until the save function is selected.
