I was skeptical when I purchased this soil tester. There were negative reviews on this item. For the price I thought I'd give it a try. I tested it on multiple indoor and outdoor plants, some freshly watered and some in need of water. I also checked the PH levels in some of my pots and this meter seem to work rather well. The plastic housing seems not very strong, so I will have to see how long it will actually last.

I am a beginner when it comes to gardening, and I was wondering why my jasmin wasn’t blooming as it should. This tester is a two in one product. Not only does it measure the moisture level in your soil, but it also measures the pH level in your soil. The best part is, you don’t need any batteries. All you have to do is stick this in the soil and read the meter. As expected, my soil wasn’t the right pH for my jasmine plant. I was able to provide the proper nutrients once I knew the pH level and before you know it, I got tons of blooms! This is also great for beginner gardeners who have a hard time knowing when their soil is truly dry. I have learned the hard way that watering too frequently is also bad for the plant and could potent harm the plant. Moisture level needs to be just right to avoid root rot. I usually use this for my indoor plants, but you can also use this for your outdoor plants! To clean the metal probe, all you need to do is clean with a rag. This will prevent any future rust issues.

this is so easy to use.I literally don't have to do anything except push the probe down into the soil I know the AI on my phone kept talking about alkaline and acidic soil and that certain fruits like it more acidic than others. it began to make me curious well I don't know if my soil is balanced with this pH and sothis thing was amazing! it doesn't cost much. it's super easy so it doesn't require any effort. it works really quick right there just the needle moves to the exact pH level the soil is at. this is exactly what I needed. I had potatoes and tomatoes that weren't doing so good so now I know I can pH balance it. adding coffee or green tea to my soil. I'm learning and this really made it helpful. I would like to grow a big Garden to help the homeless. I think this is a handy tool. I left it out in my garden and it poured down rain I was so scared that this was broken after that but it really wasn't. I checked the device after the rain stopped and it was just as good as new like it didn't even affect it. so yes it is waterproof. it didn't require electricity or batteries I literally took it out of the box and into the soil directly. the screen is very easy to read with the color codes and the needle. It's also large enough for those that have hard time seeing.
