Scripto EZ-Squeeze Utility Lighter, One Size

My husband and I both have arthritis in our hands and have a terrible time trying to light our outdoor grill and the stove in our camper. This lighter is so easy to use and it’s refillable! I love it already!

I bought this for my 75 year old mother-in-law who used this daily from May through August to light incense. It was easier for her to squeeze than to use the trigger lighters that require pulling with a finger. It would have been a challenge for her to refill, to see in the clear plastic to see the fuel level, but I was able to help her and refilled it in seconds. It was very easy with the proper butane refill that is recommended beneath the lighter listing in Amazon. There was no issue regarding an "air bubble", it was simple to refill. After refilling, the lighter immediately worked, super simple. I bought a second one as backup until I can get to her home to refill any that become empty. I suspect my mother-in-law wouldn't be able to see the small valve needed to match up to the butane small hose that injects the butane. If you can assist someone with refilling once every 3 months, I'd highly recommend this lighter. Even if I couldn't refill it, it is so simple for her to use, I'd probably just buy her a new one every time, it is that simple and I haven't found a similar product.

Easy squeeze light is super!

Easier than most multi purpose style lighters, but the EZ Squeeze is still a bit difficult for my wife that has carpal-tunnel. I like that I can refill instead of just throw away.

Do not buy this lighter, falsely advertised as easy sqeeze for elderly, it is HARDER to use than regular lighters, and it can't be returned, for safety reasons seller claims.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this lighter after hearing my 80-year-old mother complain that she couldn’t light her candles anymore, which was something she loved to do each night for ambiance. She said that her arthritic hands can’t manage using a traditional lighter. I bought the easy squeeze lighter to see if that solved the problem and I’m happy to say she is delighted. The frustration she had for a year was solved by this simple adjustment in the product she used. The Lighter performs just as advertised. You simply palm the lighter and squeeze. It’s that easy and my mom was able to light her candle after the first try. I also want to mention that I have also purchased the lighters for myself as the traditional version of these lighters can sometimes be a pain and this style of lighters lets me use one hand while I use the other hand to do something else, like hold a pot over the stove etc. I am going to replace my lighters at home with this version as it is a game changer for us.

After refilling, the lighter barely works. It cost too much to stop working. I don't appreciate not being able to select the color. I wanted blue, but was sent pink.
