You can use BodyGlide on any part of your body. I'm a bit confused by your question though. It won't stop you from sweating. But if your sweating is causing chaffing in those rrgions, it will most certainly help.

Q: What are the dimensions on the .8 oz one? I had one that was smaller than a travel deodorant, and want more of that size.

3 1/4 inches tall X 2 inch's wide by 1 inch thick

Q: Can it be used while wearing sock

Yes. On a 600-mile hike (15-18 miles/day) I used it on the hot spots of my feet where blisters used to form. I never had one while using it.

Q: My son inner thighs burn when going into the ocean. Will this work for salt water burn as a barrier?

If applied well in advance before going, probably? It’s most likely the moisture of swim ware rubbing when leaving the water.
