Built very solid. Couldn't believe how heavy and sturdy this unit is. Must have for anyone having a Surface Pro, and want to elevate their screen so that it's more eye level. Foldable, and fits in the bag easily. It has a nice bag it comes with as well, and a cool thing most people don't see from the photos is that there is a magnetic space there to hold the PD charger cable when you are not charging it to keep your wires nicely organized.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬: -High-quality build, feels solid and durable -Folds down flat and fits easily in a backpack -Holds Surface devices securely, no wobbling -Clean, professional design 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬: -Slightly heavier than plastic alternatives—but worth it for the stability 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐭 I was looking for a reliable stand to use with my Surface on the go—something robust enough to hold it steady, but also compact and easy to pack. I’ve tried a few plastic options before, but none really felt stable enough or travel-friendly. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐭 I use this holder daily while working remotely and always pack it when I travel. It folds flat, slides right into my laptop sleeve or backpack, and sets up in seconds. My Surface sits securely on it, and the tilt angle is perfect for video calls or typing with an external keyboard. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐬 & 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 The quality is what impressed me most—it’s metal, not flimsy plastic, and feels like it’ll last for years. It adds a little weight to my bag, but the tradeoff in sturdiness is absolutely worth it. No shaking, no slipping, just a solid base for my device. 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 -Ideal for Surface users, but would work well for any tablet or thin laptop -Great for travel or hybrid work setups -If you’re upgrading from a plastic stand, this will feel like a big step up Update: after many months in service - still my favourite accesory. Worth every cent!

PROS: 1) STABLE AND STURDY, HOLDS THE SURFACE PRO IN PERFECT BALANCE. 2) SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVES ERGONOMICS OF THE SURFACE PRO 3) SUPERB QUALITY, MACHINED FROM ALUMINIUM, HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT 4) LOCKING HINGE 5) SILICONE, ANTI-SLIP SURFACES ON TOP FOR STORAGE, ON THE BOTTOM FOR SLIPPAGE AND WITHIN THE GROOVE FOR PROTECTION 6) HOLDER FOR THE SURFACE POWER CABLE ON THE SIDE OF THE STAND (WHEN POWER NOT IN USE) 7) SUBSTANTIAL WEIGHT KEEPS EXPENSIVE SURFACE FROM TOPPLING 8) COMES WITH A MICORFIBRE, DRAWSTRING POUCH. 9) CAN BE SECURED IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT WITH THE KENSINGTON CABLE LOCK 10) ALTERING THE KICKSTAND ANGLE ALTERS THE VIEWING ANGLE CONS: 1) SUBSTANTIAL WEIGHT: 610g 2) NEEDS SOMETHING TO INDICATE WHEN THE SURFACE IS IN EQUALLY I bought this having had great experience with the Kensington Black Belt Rugged Case (which you can see on my Surface Pro 11). The issue with the kickstand, if we're all honest, is, that it needs you to bend over and subject your neck muscles to strain. It's great for watching films, or videos or streaming television programmes, but most people who own a Surface Pro (SP) use it primarily for work. I am no exception, even though it is my personal device and not wok supplied. When I was deciding whether to buy this Kensington Elevated Stand, I was looking for a review that actually told me more than "it's great" or "well made". That's not enough for me to make a purchase on, especially as a Degree qualified manufacturing engineer, and a Quality expert (all in the distant past). Yes, it's only £30, but my Surface was £2000 and I don't want it smashed on the floor or wobbling about. So this review is for those people who can read (and write) more than two lines (or two words). In other words, it's not for Generation Z, most of whom are basically, walking goldfish, with a slightly longer attention span. (I know not all of them are like that, certainly not my kids because I invested time in them, and not pushed them off with a phone or tablet). Anyway.........this stand is very sturdy, it feels expensive (though the supplied bag feels a little less so). The SP kickstand slides into a groove in the stand. The groove is lined with 2.5mm thick silicone to protect your SP and stop it sliding around too easily. The same silicone appears on the bottom of the stand for anti-slip, and the top of the foot of the stand. The top of the foot's silicone allows you to put your MS Flex SP keyboard, or a similar Bluetooth keyboard, or anything else you fancy there. There's also a slot on the right hand side of the stand arm for your SP charge cable head, though this does NOT charge your SP. It's for when you are not powering your SP and need a location to keep the cable head off the floor, for when you are away from your desk. Much to my wife's annoyance, I often work at the kitchen table (as I , at the dining table, in the lounge, in the garden room, in the bedroom, despite having a big home office with two massive desks, two monitors. The issue is, everywhere other than the office was uncomfortable, because of bending over the screen. This Elevated Stand REDUCES the stress on your neck and shoulder muscles. A lot of it depends on your height, the height of your chair, the length of your torso (I have a short one) most British people have a long torso) and the height of the table or desk you are working at. The kickstand angle determines the viewing angle. The stand is locked into one angle. There also only one way you SHOULD put the SP in, and that's with the stand screen over the foot. Putting it in the other way will result in the stand not holding your SP up as it will over-balance. Another use is on one of those beanbag type trays for anti-social eating in front of the TV (only allowed when the football is on). One of those trays which the German food chains sell (as does Amazon) is great for working on your lap in the house. This stand and the tray is a great combination. The stand has a locking button which has be depressed to either unfold or fold the stand. When it's folded it slides into the drawstring bag. I splashed out on the MS Arc Mouse, which is really great. When the stand is folded, the Arc Mouse fits nicely in the gap between the foot and the arm so I can slide both stand and mouse into the stand's bag. That's a plus for me. It's pretty heavy for its size, it's approximately 19cm x 13cm when folded and apparently, it's 610g, that's the official weight. The stand, needless to say needs to be on a stable surface. It does move slightly in the groove, but ONLY if the top part of the SP is pushed. If you push the bottom half where the kickstand is, it will NOT move. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this Kensington Elevated Stand. It's top quality, stable, sturdy and superb value for money. It saves your neck and back muscles (somewhat) and makes downtime even more comfortable. BUY IT, IT'S DOTTORE APPROVED!! PS: The last photos shows the keyboard attached and when it's on a beanbag tray. It's not ideal for fast typing, but for YT searches etc it's ok. Clearly, it's not designed for this, but it works pretty well.
