As someone who is new to pottery this is such a help to me in terms of making handles for mugs.
I am really really delighted to have this set. As someone who is new to pottery this is such a help to me in terms of making handles for mugs. With the tools to carve the right specific shape of clay for the handle and then the foam blocks to form that into the right arc shape for the mug, I am really delighted with this. Being new to pottery, I don't have the most experience, but it is lovely that these tools have helped me make my work look right and have the right handle proportions. Excellent! I recommend!

Reasonable quality handle making set but check size is suitable as they are fairly small.
Pottery Handle Making Tools This set consists of a set of tools which you scrape across your clay in order to cut out shaped lengths to be used as handles and also some foam formers. The tools are made from stainless steel with wooden handles, my first impression of them is that they are very small so you won’t be making chunky handles with these! You get 5 tools, each one a different shape so that you can produce handles with different profiles. They seem reasonably strong and good enough for occasional use but don’t expect to be able to use them for mass production. The foam formers seem pretty good and can be used to shape your handle before applying to your cup. For the price I think this is a reasonable set if you want to make handles for small cups but do check the size as they are very small as I mentioned before.

Although I know little about the art of pottery, these tools are apparently important to those who are learning how to make pottery.

VERY VERY SMALL if these are for making handle's, well, the handles will be quite thin for sure. read the dimensions (as I apparently did not) the overall width is 3/4" and the depth of the "largest" one is only 5/8", the width of the smallest one is 5/8 and depth is 1/2" so the handles will be very thin-very thin but on the plus side, the tool handles themselves are beautiful

Great!!

Cheaply made. The metal bends too easily and it'll just be a matter of time before the metal and the handle separate and break as I pull them through clay.

Great trimming tools for making handles! Works better cutting directly off the clay bag than from a wedged chunk imo. Easy to learn but with practice you can master it! Great variety
