Setup is quick and easy I had to replace the wireless device on my desktop computer after I got a new Deco BE5000 mesh router in order to make everything work seamlessly. It has greater signal strength compared to the previous device and better speed

I was first testing it on my HP laptop by connecting it to the USB-C port. I couldn’t get any higher than 700 Mbps. I’m still having a hard time understanding why, because when I connect the 2.5 Gig USB-C to Ethernet I’m able to reach around 1.8 Gigs so it’s not the port’s transfer speed that’s limiting it. For context, this is the 3rd WIFI 7 usb adapter (different brands) that I tried doing the same thing. My conclusion is that these adapters are biased to Windows 10. I then tried this on my main PC with WIN11 and was able to get up to 1150 Mbps. One thing I’ve noticed is that there’s a burst of initial speed during testing both up and down. Keep in mind that these computers I’ve tested on are 2 feet or less away from the router. For context, my iPad Air connected to the same WIFI7 6 GHz band can reach speeds around 1540 Down 300 Up. For the price of this adapter it should be able to at least match that. Lastly, it has a setting in Properties to protect the MAC address. I had to turn this off because it was preventing it from connecting to the router. By the way Amazon, most of the reviews here don’t match the device being sold so please fix.
