Great tool and very easy to use, even for someone who is not thoroughly versed. Just make sure that the fix you want to use it for actually works. For instance, the AutoAuth did not work on this tool (possibly because of my make and model), and I could not log in for my particular car.

If you don’t broadcast your WiFi SSID, this thing cannot find nor connect to the network even if you add the network manually. Once you are connected to WiFi and you connect to your car’s port, it will try and fail to have you login to be able to use the diagnostics. No clue how I managed to get around this, but I finally got the code read and cleared. This unit is the least user friendly obd2 setup I’ve had the misfortune of using. I would not recommend it. 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee - the car I used it on after much swearing.

I purchased this OBD scanner to help me diagnose my recent vehicle purchase. We just purchased a 2018 Jeep Wrangler, and as most of you know, today's Vehicle manufacturers load them full of Electronics and Complex mechanical systems requiring more than just basic Automotive knowledge. I decided to treat my toolbox to a new gadget and spent the money on this Scanner. After doing some AI research and reading through multiple reviews, I opted for the Xtool brand and model. This is Vehicle Manufacture specific, so!!!!! Be careful to order the one for your specific Vehicle. This one is a IP-500cdj [Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep]. I liked it so much that a week later, I bought a more upscale unit that covers multiple manufacturers, both foreign and domestic. This allows me to diagnose and repair my Toyota and Lexus as well.

Had several codes on my 2016 wrangler, unit identified the jeep and listed all current and saved codes. I was able to fix and clear all codes and worked great.

Has most features needed to do a complete auto scan

Scanner received and works great. All my Jeep issues are now diagnosed and hopefully will be in the future. Was able to quickly diagnose, fix and reset SRS issue. This scanner always able to produce 5 more codes than my consumer model and I’ll be able to diagnose like the professionals for the PCM, TCM, ABS and a whole string of other subsystems of my GM vehicles. Support from Xtool has been outstanding through the whole process and there we’re able to remotely reset my scanner and walked me through the whole setup. Not that it was difficult, but it was nice to have the experts to assist. I Will use Xtool for my other vehicle’s needs in the future. Strongly recommend.

This scanner literally freezes up and don’t read right I have to constantly reset it not very happy with it so if your looking to get a good scanner don’t get this one
