I have seen so many reviews of people complaining about the size of these brushes. I can only assume that you do not actually look at the pictures of the products or read the details. I have been to almost every single item from ZilberHaar. In every single one is a pic of the sizes of their brushes. EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! If you look at the Description it tells you "Mini", "Regular", "Full", or "Long" and if you look at the image you can see plain as day what one is what. There is nothing worse than someone giving a product a bad review because they didn't read something properly. That is your fault, not the products. Moving on! For the record, my wife calls my hands "Bear Paws". I have big monster mitts for hands. That being said, the "Mini" brush and the "Regular" brush that come in this kit are a perfect size. They are perfect for travel, they are perfect to have in a drawer in your desk, they are perfect to have in the door pocket of your truck, or the center console, even in the saddle bag of the bike. I can hide either of these brushes in my closed hand. It disappears. But I have no issue using either of them. Who needs an entire hand to use a fingertip brush? Additionally, if you need to use your whole hand to brush your beard, it better be made out of wool or I hate to say it, you're doing it wrong!!!! The firm set of these brushes has strong bristles. This is not your daughters Barbie brush ok? This is for the coarse thick hair that comes with a "man's" beard. (That could be part of the problem with some of these reviews, not having a "Man's" Beard) But if you need your entire hand to do it, you are likely making things much worse for yourself. You don't have to brush hard, that's going to really irritate your skin. These firm bristles help separate the coarse hairs and distribute the Beard Oil and/or Beard Butter all the way to the skin and completely over the hairs. It works VERY well in this, but you only need to do it gently. The tips of the bristles should just barely be touching your skin. This deposits the oils on the skin so it can absorb it over the day, keeping it moisturized and healthy. I use the 6" handled one in the morning after the shower, beard wash, and beard conditioner. I apply my oil, gently brush it in, apply my Butter, gently brush it in and off I go. I have the mini at my desk at work and let me tell you. I have been brushing my beard more and more since getting these. It just feels good and the brush, the mini, is so easy to use and so comfortable in my fingertips. (Note that I said "Fingertips", not "Hand") I find myself reading something and just brushing over and over. I truly enjoy it. The cleaning brush? That, I agree, is small, but I can still hold it and use it, it's just with my sausage fingers the little round handle can be a bit difficult, but that's an issue with me, not the product. It still cleans the hell out of the brush. So it does it's job. Overall this set is awesome. The price is very fair for the quality. The wood is very light weight and well crafted. The bristles are unevenly cut but this is even across the brush, does that make sense? It's a good thing, I'll say that. LOL They are well made, comfortable to hold, perfect for travel, and easy to use. Dismiss the complainers that say it's a brush for kids or toys. They obviously have no clue what to do with a beard or aren't man enough to be willing to be seen with a high quality fingertip beard brush. I have already ordered another "Regular" brush so I can put it in my truck. I LOVE these brushes. You CANNOT go wrong with these.

I use a Zilberhaar beard brush but wanted to get this set for a couple of reasons - 1) I wanted the pocket brush and brush cleaner and 2) I will only use these brushes BEFORE I put oil/balm in my beard. The oil/balm makes cleaning the brush more time consuming. I will use the brush after I get out of the shower while drying it. After I put product in my beard, I will then use my horn comb, which is a snap to clean. I have already posted a review for the beard brush but here is the gist of it: This little brush is the best of all the beard brushes I’ve used. Key Points: 1) It’s small. I noticed reviewers complain about this but just read the description. This is for your beard, not King Kong’s back. It’s the perfect size for a beard of average size. 2) The bristles are uneven for a reason. In order to exfoliate the skin, this is important. Too many beard brushes neglect this. Sure you want to spread the beard oil and sebum but healthy skin promotes healthy beard hair. 3) It is made of first cut boars hair meaning it’s very firm. Don’t brush your beard for too long and don’t apply a lot of pressure when brushing. Firm hair is needed to get underneath the beard to your skin. 4) The bristles are boar’s hair, not plastic. If you burn them, it will smell like burnt hair, not burnt plastic. 5) If used properly, this will give you healthy beard hair which, in turn, will make your beard very soft. 6) Their customer service is second to none. If you have an issue, they will help you out. Regarding the pocket brush, I bought a Zeus pocket brush over the Zilberhaar for one simple reason, the Zeus came with a pouch. Since I travel with this brush, I think the pouch is a nice touch to help protect it. Comparing the two side by side, the bristles on the Zilberhaar are a little more firm and the bristles are also more uneven, which is a good thing. There is really nothing wrong with the Zeus but the Zilberhaar is just better in my opinion. It would be nice if a pouch came with the Zilberhaar. In the 3rd photo, the Zeus pocket comb is on the bottom of the pic. The brush cleaner is awesome. I cleaned my beard brush with a fine tooth comb before but this little tool, because the teeth aren’t rigid and move, actually cleans the brush better. I cleaned my beard brush with the fine tooth comb first before using this tool to see if it was better. I got even more hair out after I used this cleaner. It’s a nice little tool to have. I am very satisfied with this purchase. It comes in a nice box that is elegant in it’s simplicity. One can’t go wrong with Zilberhaar products and these three items are no exception.

The quality is great. The small sizes are perfect for toiletry bags and pockets.

Love these brushes and everything about them. Switched to a bristle brush a few years ago and it was nice but these are a whole other step up. The stiff is very stiff so be prepared. I use for my beard as it is very thick and hard to get through. I also use the larger brush for my hair but went with a soft bristle there and it is much kinder on the skin and scalp. Brush clearer is nice. Works well and removes more than you would think are in these brushes.

The brushes seem well made. The smaller brush has the stiffer bristles and I feel works better.

Got this set of brushes and they work wonderfully! I’m getting used to the stiff bristles, but I like them because they get deep on my beard and on my skin. I also wanted quality so I went with German made. In my opinion you can’t go wrong with this set of brushes for beard!

To be fair, I am that guy who reviews almost every item I buy. I do this because I count on reviews when I make purchases. This item was only so so to me. I gave it 3 stars and that is being generous. I like the small handle brush- it is firm and works well on my beard. It is very firm and for me, I could probably have used a less firm bristle. I use it probably 3 times a week. It seems to be of decent to good quality. Now the small brush without out the handle is the same other than no handle. This does nothing for me. The little metal rake looking deal is a piece of junk that doesn't work for crap. So if you're looking for a beard brush, just buy that little guy with the handle, the other two tools are worthless.

I had bought the softer version of this brush. Wanted the harder one so got this gift set. It's pricey but it's a great brush. If I was to buy again I would get the bigger brush but again This is a great brush
