Q: Is Maty's Baby Chest Rub okay to use after the expiration date?

Yes. Maty's Baby Chest Rub contains natural oils. Since oils do not have an indefinite lifespan, they can go rancid after a long time, and while it’s possible the ointment may smell “off”, it's still safe to use.

Q: What happens if a child gets some of Maty's Baby Chest Rub or Vapor Rub in their mouth?

Although our Baby Chest Rub is intended to be used externally on the skin and not ingested, it should be okay. We always recommend monitoring your child closely and contacting your doctor right away if you have any concerns.

Q: What is the difference between your Baby Chest Rub and your Vapor Rub?

Maty's Baby Chest Rub has essential oils like chamomile & lavender to relax & soothe babies 3 months & older. Our Vapor Rub contains menthol in the form of peppermint essential oil. Since menthol isn't safe for babies, it's not in our Baby Chest Rub.
