Coupler Lock

My experience with this Reese Towpower coupler lock has been pretty positive. It feels sturdy and seems to hold up well during occasional trips. I especially like how easily it adjusts to fit different trailers, making things simple when I'm switching between them. The yellow color is a nice touch, making it easy to spot if I leave it attached in a busy lot. Overall, it’s a handy item to have around if you want a straightforward way to secure your trailer.

Good sturdy lock and pleased with performance. It's a deterrent to trailer theft. Also recommend also using a wheel lock as well. The combo has seemingly stopped folks from trying to steal the mulch trailer. 🤞

I’ve used these for years on trailers and all have performed great with zero issues. It helps if you squirt some white lithium grease in the operable parts every once in a while to keep things functioning smoothly. Not a product defect, just the nature of storing mechanical parts outside and exposed to the weather.

I love how easy it is to securely place this lock, and unlocking it with the key is a breeze. So far, it's holding up great, but I'll provide an update if anything changes. The item did arrive slightly "opened" as shown in the picture, but thanks to the excellent Amazon packaging, all the necessary parts were perfectly intact. Highly recommend!

worth it for the money, if someone drives by they see protection on the trailers

My issue with this lock is it’s very loose. It moves around quite a bit, even when the trailer coupler is locked on top the locks ball. I think the problem is twofold, the teeth on the locks U rod are big so it gives it too much to play. On top of that since there’s only teeth on one side of the locks U rod the other side is moving free which allows it to flex a lot. I wish I would’ve considered that because I wouldn’t have bought it. I have another similar style trailer coupler lock and it has teeth on both sides of the U rod, and they are finer, so I’m able to get a tighter fit with very little movement and play. This Reese will work for the time being, but I’m going to do more research and get a better lock. I got this on sale for under $20 so let’s be honest the expectations can’t be that high. This is not going to necessarily keep your trailer from getting stolen, it’s deterrent. It even says that on the packaging. Apparently this Lock is not very difficult to defeat. The nice ones aren’t necessarily going to keep someone from stealing your trailer either if someone wants it bad enough and knows what they’re doing. Don’t get it. The hope is that the lock will hold out long enough that attention is drawn to the thief, and they are discovered. All that being said nothing!
