Just what I needed..
Just what I was looking for.. I purchases a vacuum head for my pool, threw out the packing only to find out the vacuum head was 1 1/2" and my hose was 1 1/4". Went back to the pool store and they couldn't help me. Looked at this and took a shot.. 6 bucks, what do uiu gave to lose. It's perfect.. My hose fit perfectly in one end and the other fits my vacuum.. Not sure this is what it was designed for, but it works great...

My existing hose was 1.5m diameter according the box. I ordered a 1 1/2 hose Cuff and it was too big. When this Cuff came in it looked too small. Looks can fool you. It fit perfectly. Happy, Happy.

Just started using it
Time will tell how it holds up but as of yesterday it works. I did use pvc glue to install it based on reviews saying it might suck air if not glued

Not for plumbing uses
I'm sure this is great for pool vacuums.However, I was planning to use it in my RV as an interface to the drain hole for my sink. Problem is, it's very flexible plastic, almost like a rubber, rather than the hard PVC plastic used in plumbing systems. There is another product on Amazon from Poolmaster made of harder plastic that is more suited to this kind of use that I used instead.

Good Quality
This cuff is of good, thick material and both ends fit perfectly for my needs: threading on to this vacuum hose with an OD of 41.5mm (1.63"). The cuff dimensions are: Big end with threads: OD 46.3mm (1.82"), ID at depth of threads 41.5mm (1.63"), ID at top of threads 36.0mm (1.42"). Small slip end: OD at base 36.7mm( 1.44"), OD at tip 36.2mm (1.43"), ID at tip 31.4mm (1.24")

Perfect if you have a smaller pool hose.
The 1.5" seems to be the easier size to find and I bought one at the local pool store only to find out my pool hose has a slightly smaller diameter and it would not work. So I bought this guy, it showed up 2 days later, screwed right on (counterclockwise or you'll be screwing for awhile) and we've been vacuuming ever since. I can't really speak to it's durability as I've only had it a short time, but it seems like a great buy! No glue required. The threads on the inside are deep so it grabs the hose and won't let go!

Works great
I cut off thebold broken one, screwed this one on to hose, and plugged into pool. Worked great and no issues since. I was happy to find it.
