PILOT - PM-2104AM Pilot Automotive PM-2104 44 Magnum Six Shooter Shift Knob w Secret Storage Compartment, Manual / Automatic Transmission

I've owned the product for about a week now.Pros:- Looks great.- I have a shifter that's on the center console area, so it looks more like a "manual" than a steering wheel automatic style in my car, which is great. It sits up a bit high, and allows me to comfortably rest my hand there if I please. Since my car is an auto, but it has a semi-auto "tiptronic" mode, I can shift easier than with the stock shifter with this one.- Easy to install. It really is. My shifter thread was 8mm, and it comes with all the appropriate sizes needed if you have to "twist" the knob off.Cons:- The instructions were mediocre. It has instructions for both a manual and an automatic, but it didn't matter. It should have stated if it was a console mounted vs. a steering column mounted install.Overall:I thought I'd have problems installing it, but there aren't that many pieces. Its pretty much just twist and get the pieces in the correct order. You can't really go wrong.I drive an '05 Dodge Magnum RT. I'm sure it'll fit any LX car.. (charger, magnum, 300, etc)

It looks great! This product in its original state would sit too high for a 2007 Ford F150 XL 4.2L SuperCab 5spd manual. Drilling a hole inside the new shifter was necessary to fit further down onto the shaft. Also filing the spacer and the bottom ring keeps the knob firmly in place.

It comes with these plastic caps that don't work good. It has seriously popped off about 10 times! I ripped off my shifter and now I regret it, I am now going to have to buy a new one all together because it popped off and got stuck completely where I cant get the base part out of the knob. Looks cool but needs better parts.

Okay so I received my shifter quickly, I had to sand my old shift handle because I had to break off my old shift knob on my 89 f150 cuz I guess someone glued it or something but anyway the instructions need to be more specific and detailed but overall this shifter is sweeeeet. It took me a little bit to figure out how put it on but when I was done I'm 100% satisfied. It actually made the shifter closer to me which I love and it's super comfortable. I like the fact that it has a little stash spot too even though I don't really need it but its allways good to have..I highly recommend this product and would deffenetly buy it again. Looks cool, not great quality but good enough for me, was a chore to fit on properly.

Nice product, but mounting hardware it awful! It probably won't hold up a week. However, I've already thought of a way to resolve the pronlem with threaded rod and an action bedding kit that I bought to bed a rifle action and didn't use.

Bought it because my stock shifter was rattling. I have a 6-speed manual; the knob style fit the bill. I highly recommend the shifter from Pilot. The top portion containing the rounds is metal and the lower portion is a chromed aluminum. Really good quality for the money. Looks awesome. Installation was easy and straightforward, and instructions were clear and written by someone that spoke english. Installed on my 2010 Wrangler Unlimited manual transmission

I GAVE THIS 2 STARS NOT BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY BUT BECAUSE IT IS NOT FOR JUST ANY AUTOMATIC SHIFTER BAR. I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY AND THIS KNOB JUST WOULD NOT FIT. I DOES NOT JUST SCREW ON AND YOU ARE DONE. YOU HAVE TO SECURE A PIECE ONTO THE SHIFTING BAR WITH ALLEN SCREWS. THE THREADED HOLES FOR THESE WERE NOT DRILLS ALL IN THE SAME SPOT AROUND THE SHEATH OR PART. SO IT WOULD NOT SECURE. I TRIED DRILLING THE HOLE IN THE RIGHT SPOT BUT IT BECAME UNTHREADED AND WOULDNT WORK. I FINALLY HAD TO DRILL A HOLE UP AND DOWN THE WHOLE PIECE TO MAKE IT WORK. I WOULD HAVE RATED IT HIGHER BECAUSE ONCE YOU GET IT ON IT LOOKS REALLY COOL BUT I HAVE TO REALLY RIG THIS UP TO MAKE IT WORK.
