Planet Wise Reusable Sandwich Wrap, Owl

I thought this product was the best-until I washed it! The fabric is nice, the plastic lining inside it nice and thick. It was wonderful until I washed it. (I used cold water and hung dried it but the fabric shrunk and the liner did not) except for that I do like this product so I'm giving it 5 stars

This was bought for my job; when I make my lunch. my sandwiches are usually filled with kale. Kale is small numerous greens that are prone to falling out of sandwiches, especially when you could have dirty handy and trying to finagle it where it keeps clean and not dropping the contents. I soon found it is a pleasure to feel, use and look at even when I am at home or in the garden. It keeps the food clean from hands, protected from bugs and keeps ANY food from falling out. This is a green choice I personally recommend every house should have.

I purchased the sandwich wrap in the ladybug pattern. I wanted it to hold a sandwich, and also be a place mat for my child's school lunch. When I received it, I washed it by hand in warm water, and the dye in the lady bugs ran and stained the rest of the cloth pink. It was still usable, though. But now, after repeated washings (by hand, in warm water, line dried) the printed fabric has shrunk while the waterproof lining has not. This makes the wrap difficult to use because the velcro doesn't line up well anymore, and the sides curl up so it won't lay flat to use as a place mat. I have used this item for less than a semester and it has not worked well at all.

This is very nice quality. It has serger stitched edges with two layers. A soft cotton patterned fabric over a very flexible plastic layer. There is hook and loop closures on it. The shape makes it easy to fold over food. It's easy to clean and I just leave it overnight (if you get the fabric wet) to dry in my dish dry rack.My almost 3 yr old loves the pattern and has figured out how to fold and close it.I make my toddler a lunch when I make her big sister's school lunch, that way my toddler can have fun getting out her lunch at home. It's helping prepare her for preschool.

You know that thing? The one you didn't know you NEEDED, until you had it? This is that thing. It works wonderfully for lots of things you want to quick grab and wrap on the go! And you can just wash off the inside, you don't have to wash the outer cloth all the time, so it dries much quicker than the initial full wash. I just drape it over dishes in my drainer, and it's ready before long. Or wipe off with a towel for faster reuse.

Love the concept, hate the execution. These were too small for my sandwiches and they wouldnt wrap around and close due to it. If you need these for thinner sandwiches like just meat and cheese, they may be ok. I only add lettuce in addition to meat and cheese and these still were too small. :-/

I bought these and some reusable bags with zippers and they were both great, I liked these more. It was nice not having to try and fit your sandwich in the zippered bag because somehow I always get some topping on it. These ones are much easier to clean too. I just wash them by hand with dish soap and water, so its so easy not having to clean all the seams like the zippered bags. The Velcro always sticks nice too. I've had them for about a year now and they are still in great shape.

We have been using these wraps for years. It's nice that it's dishwasher safe and it dries overnight. Good alternative to single use plastic bags.
