Loved the Colors, But Performance & Comfort are More Important
I had a serious fall in 2007 where I had a complete ankle break... compound fracture. Really bad. The doctor said it was the worst ankle break he had ever seen. Recovery took quite a while and although I live with quite a bit of pain I am very grateful that I can walk. One thing I learned early on is to layer my support. Always start with a good support compression sock and then add whatever supports, braces, shoes, etc. that you need.I have tried many different support compression socks. From those requiring a prescription to the cheaper ones. And, over the years my requirements have changed. For me the best socks are cushioned, have plenty of toe room, graduated compression, a leg binding that comes just under the knee and that is not scratchy. Please, no red marks! Of course, the sock must stay put too. Ankle and heel protection are also important. My favorite non-prescription socks are the white Jobst Active Wear in the 20-30 compression. They are soft and lightly cushioned. However, these are the more expensive over-the-counter socks. And, there is one problem with the Jobst compression socks that is really annoying. Even if you order twelve pairs of compression socks at the same time you’ll find the socks often have differences between lots... such as size/depth of knee band, appearance of the warp/filling yarns, length of the sock, etc. This means you cannot throw them in the wash and then easily match the pairs up again. For sanity sake I purchased colored cross-stitching floss to mark the socks when opened so I can easily match the socks up to their mate after laundering. So, why do I only purchase the white ones? Well, the black socks are dyed. The white ones are much softer and more comfortable. As I am the sole caregiver to my mother I am on my feet much of the day. So I need something that feels good.Sometimes though you need socks in different colors... and sometimes you just don't want to pay a lot. So I went on a mission to find some less expensive socks via Amazon. I learned early on to never buy socks where people posted pictures where the socks came up over their knees. I didn't like any of those socks that I tried.Based on the reviews, I did try these compression socks… “Compression Z Below Knee High Compression Socks”. My main problem with these socks are that they are too scratchy... which of course affects the knee band. Additionally, they are too long. So once I pulled them up where the compression felt good I had to re-position the sock so that they remained under my knees instead of over them. Of course this affects the way they feel... as in less supportive... and I'm 5'8" tall. Unfortunately, while putting them on I immediately got a snag. Not a bad snag because I stopped immediately. However, I've never had a snag with a pair of compression socks before, and I've been wearing them since 2007. Also, if cushioning is important to you then these are not the socks for you. I missed this fact when ordering… otherwise I would have reconsidered. So, if you relate to anything I’ve said you may be interested in the compression socks that have met my criteria mentioned above.1. Jobst Active Wear in white (Size Large). I also like the following compression socks … enough to make multiple orders… also in Size Large.2. BriteLeafs Professional Running / Racing Athletic Sports Graduated Support Compression Socks - 20-30 mmHg, Knee High, Black/Gray. Unisex with Coolmax (Large, Black) - I have purchased five pairs and am back to purchase more today... size Large3. Wanderlust Air Travel Compression Socks, L-XL: Men 8.5-12 / Women 9.5-12 -- I have purchased eleven pairs of these socks.. size Large.

Disappointed
I bought the blue striped pair, both pairs of polka dots, and the puzzle pair. Normally I'd buy one of something in order to try but I love the company's regular black compression socks and these were cute and a good price. I won't buy them again. 1) The cute patterns have raised seems on the insides which leave uncomfortable dig marks on me after wearing them. After taking off the puzzle socks I had puzzle pieces ingrained on my legs....that's not good! 2) Though I knew before buying I didn't know it'd be a problem: since they don't go all the way to the knee the top digs into my leg at a strange/uncomfortable place that I felt soon after putting on. 3) The material doesn't feel good, it's a strange yucky feel (don't know how to describe it) and it seems too thick and unbreathable. Their original compression sock is the way to go. I must add the company has wonderful customer service and reached out to me regarding this review.

4/21/19 - will no longer buy
Edited 4/21/19:They changed the style but never updated the picture. Had they I wouldn't have ordered. They are no longer comfortable. The toe seem is annoying and not what should be in any sock, let alone one made for health issues like diabetes. They are harder to get on and the biggest thing is they no longer feel like they are as high of compression as they used to be. Will no longer be buying.Been wearing compression socks for a long time and got tired of paying 50-60 bucks for a pair through insurance. Tried maybe 6 or 7 different brands and have settled on these. They hold up well to wash & drying. Are not so thin you feel like you're going to rip rip them putting them on. And as far as a compression sock can be they are comfortable Men/Women Knee High Compression Socks X-Large Black .

These are my favorite socks - but these are not what I received
CompressionZ are absolutely my favorite compression socks. I use them for work, where I stand for up to 6 hours at a time. They're tight, rugged, and they fit well. They're also not covered with "athletic" stripes and designs, which I like because I'm not a high school soccer player. However - caveat emptor! I recently ordered another pair through this listing, which was fulfilled through some vendor named "Compression Station." I did not receive the socks as advertised. If you look at the photos, the socks on the right are CompressionZ. Simple, rugged, snug, awesome. The socks on the left are some nonsense that somebody labeled "compressionz" and then sold to me at $25 a pair. No, thank you. They look cheap, they feel cheap, they come in some cheap plastic wrap - they look like amateur hour at the sock factory. What's worse is that someone has quite intentionally mislabeled them and sold them to me.I will be returning them and buying the real thing.

Comfortable, long, supportive socks. May help to ease fatigued legs and useful as flight socks.
I've edited this review and upgraded the star rating. After having worn these socks several times, they're performing better than I thought. These are a comfortable pair of compression socks, nice and long - these come right up to my knees although I'd argue about the 20 - 30mmhg compression (I'd say they were more 15 - 20mmhg on an average adult's leg). I bought the large size for my shoe size (8) and it seems from other reviews you get a longer sock than with the medium.Initially, I felt I could have done with perhaps a little more compression where the sock is fashioned round the arch of the foot and the ankle, but I was surprised and pleased that my legs didn't ache nearly as much as they normally do at the end of a long, 12 hour shift, and my ankles hadn't puffed up like they sometimes do. Like gazillions of other people, my 'veins' get to me more as I get older. My feet and lower legs stayed feeling much cooler in these socks than I was expecting. The toes and heels are very well designed, no lumpy seams, they stay put and are very light and comfortable to wear - the cuff at the top of the sock doesn't curl over or dig in. They don't leave welts, don't ruckle up or slip down.I really feel I ought to say, though, that if you're looking to buy compression socks, then it's worth getting checked out at your GP surgery for any undiagnosed medical issue. Get measured for compression socks if you need them, so much better, and safer, than anything off the shelf or 'off the internet.'They lost one 'star' because I would have liked just a bit more 'graduated' compression round the ankle. But given that these are "off the shelf" and the measurements are based solely on shoe size, the product is very effective and comfortable, and the best I've bought so far.Definitely worth getting a pair of these if your legs and feet would otherwise ache and/or your ankles are likely to get a bit puffy. However, if it's a persistent thing, do see your GP, because these socks, although effective at support, won't cure an underlying problem.

These are the best brand in my view
I have varicose veins in one leg from an old rugby injury. My lower leg tends to swell during the day, and at times I have had varicose eczema when the skin gets very scaly & itchy. To prevent the swelling I need a sock that provides adequate compression, that fits (choice of sizes) and that stays up during the day. I have tried a number of different brands now, and these from CompressionZ are the only ones that meet these criteria. They do wear out with time as one would expect give that they are in place 18hrs a day, but the service from Amazon means that replacements are quick to arrive. Do not hesitate to give these a try.

Love these socks!
I am taking medication that requires me to wear compression socks on long flights. I followed the sizing chart and ordered the Medium Pink socks. They fit perfectly. They are tight, but very comfortable. Before I ordered these, I would get horrible cramps in my legs after my flights. Now my legs feel great after I fly. I love these compression socks and do not fly without them!

Dazzlingly not dull.....& they work!
Very happy to wear my fun socks on my last long flight. They certainly were a talking point unlike the usual dull socks - other than old lady socks! They provide good compression and my feet and ankles arrived in good shape. Another thing pointed out is that they're so funky that they'd be easy to grab from the sock drawer. On size - I'm a UK 7 and medium just fits.

Superb Socks
Superbly comfortable when you have them on. I don't even know I'm wearing them. Plenty of room in the feet for bigger feet than mine (size 4). Quick delivery and worth every penny. Lovely and colourful too, which cheers you up when you have to wear things like these for health problems. 5* and more!
