Precision instrument for a great price
Having a separate anemometer head with a 2-meter spring coiled connection cable is very useful: I can mount it anywhere via the tripod screw connection, and even extend the cable length with USB extension cables (from on top of the vehicle's roof to the interior, for example). I have no way to verify its absolute accuracy, but that's not important for my purposes. The only improvement I would like to see is larger text on the mode settings: M/S or MpH, etc. They're very tiny and hard to read, although the windspeed numbers themselves are easy to read. That's the only reason for a 3-star rating.

Not Very Accurate
I tried to use this to calibrate a Mass Airflow Sensor on a custom engine swap, but none of the data this gauge gave me seemed accurate. Maybe if you're looking for basic trends, it could be useful, but actual data seemed inaccurate and unusable.

Extremely low quality
It was my mistake to buy a product without any review. Extremely low quality! The impeller is off-balance and in a vertical orientation, it always stops in the same position. In horizontal orientation, it is possible to see how it stops suddenly. It starts to rotate only from a wind speed of about 1 m/s. To open a battery compartment, you need an additional tool because of the lid stuck in the closed position. The worst is that the monitor does not read the wind speed at all. It does read the air temperature though, but I need an anemometer and not a thermometer. Even a battery connection plate is low-quality, it was very difficult to disconnect the battery. I will return the device.

Air velocity measured with a 1.0 square foot open area
After fabricating a 1.0 sq ft open area collar with smooth interior and adjustable vanes, I was able to measure supply and exhaust room air volume.

easy to use
I use it to measure air speeds on the blower motor when checking a/c units. Also use it for air temp and speed outvof air vents.

Junk
This item appeared to work for one day after receiving it, then wouldn’t register a wind speed at all, no matter how fast the blades were spinning in the wind. Upon returning the item, instead of getting the charge returned back to my original card used for purchase, I only received the refund as a credit on Amazon gift card account. Would not recommend this vendor or their products!

The only thing I wish they had was an averaging way to run wind speed test test by averaging Wind speed all day
