Excellent boot and you won’t be disappointed or cold
So almost one year after I purchased these boots I wanted to write a review. We went up to White Mtns of NH. There are blizzard conditions, 40 mph winds and -21 below! Literally my wife, who didn’t have these boots, feet were so cold that I gave her my socks and went barefoot in the boots. They performed unbelievable and my feet never even got the hint of cold. I wear a 10w or 10.5 and got the 10’s which fit with some room to spare. Excellent boot and you won’t be disappointed or cold!!

Useless in the snow
Worst boots I've owned. I have lived in New England for almost 40 years. I have owned about 20 pairs of boots. When I first used these boots, snow stuck to the bottom of them and built up with every step. I thought maybe it was because they were brand new, or that it was exceptionally sticky snow. Each time I wear these boots, the snow builds up on the bottom. Within 3 steps, you are 4 inches higher off the ground. It feels like I am going to twist my ankle with every step. I have to clean the snow off the bottom every few steps. It's incredibly annoying. I wish I could return these boots, but since I only wear them when it snows, I have only worn them a couple times and it's been a while. I would warn anyone about these boots. They are the most annoying thing I have worn. They are warm outside standing still, and they are comfortable if you are walking around the house. In the snow, they are useless.

Dangerous in Snow
As other reviews have stated, these boots allow snow to build up on the soles. I bought these in October and the east coast snow storm we just had, Jan 22-23, was my first chance to try these out in snow. What a disaster! It only takes a few steps in snow and you will get snow cakes on the soles. At points, I had 2 inch circular ice balls on the heel and balls of the soles. Stepping from snow to solid surfaces almost twisted my ankles at times. It's a beast getting the caked on ice off. You risk a major fall walking from snow onto tiled floor, like at your local grocery store - the entry mat won't get the ice cleanly off, you'll need to chisel it out of the tread.Another issue I had was the first time I tightened the strap on one boot, the metal retangular loop bent open and the strap came out of the loop. I had to bend it back into shape with pliers. As long as the strap is square on the loop this won't happen, but there can be tendency for the strap to pull to one side of the loop if you pull at an angle and if so, the loop can bend out of shape. Now that I know this, I don't do it anymore and it is not a problem. The boots are warm and comfy inside. For the cold, rain and mud these are great. These are not good for snow, I'd even say dangerous. Walk to your car in the snow, I'd advise chunking away the caked ice before you put you foot on the brake and gas pedals.I'd return these, but it's been 3 months since my purchase.

Not quick on/off, but decent fit, functional
These are kind of tight to get on easily at first, like they don't slide right on, but if you undo the velcro and hold the interior thick felt liners, they do fit well once they are on, and I think the felt liners will get thinner with some use, making them easier. If you just want boots to shovel your sidewalk/driveway with, I'd order a size larger, so they're easier to get on and off, even though they'll feel kind of loose while you're using them. The boots seem well constructed, and kept my feet warm in -10F just fine. The soles are fairly austere/uncushioned, but that's why they're cheap...they get the job done for normal walking around, and the rubber base keeps your feet dry in some pretty deep slush.

Poor design-slippery when used in snow
These boots are dangerous if used in the snow or ice. Snow and ice compact on the bottom of the boot creating and uncomfortable and slippery condition. I've used these boots twice in the snow and both times the same issue occurred. I've also worn these boots while watching my son's hockey game and they kept my feet warm but can't overlook the poor design creating a hazardous situation while be used as they are intended to be used.

Warm! Warm! Warm!!!!
My husband is 82 and diabetic. His feet are ALWAYS cold - until we got these boots!!!!!! He says it's the first time his feet have been warm in YEARS! Sizing info: he wears a size 12 so we bought a size 13. He needed serious help getting them on the first 10 or so times - he pulls, I push, big time. It's gotten a bit better with repeated use but we still have a way to go before he can put them on himself. BTW - there's a liner, and you might think you can just take the liner out and then it will be easier to put on except the boot without the insert has hard, plastic and very uncomfortable parts. Still, if your feet have been cold forever; they won't be anymore if you buy these boots.

3 stars due to to bottom of boot
The boot worked fairly well in 20 degrees snowy weather, after about 3 hours in the snow my toes felt cold (this should not have happened, I had thick wool thermal socks on) then when I took off the boot there was some sort of felt on the bottom (not sure if this is by design or not) but the felt started falling off. If this is intended for some sort of anti-slip I would have loved to of known that. Most of that felt has fell off and it is only in the middle part of the front sole.

Overall I'm happy.Normally wear a size 11 1/2 so got a size 12. Ran really small and had to return it for a size 13.Overall, the shoe serves its purpose (shoveling snow)I did put an arch support in for added comfort. The only down side is after a little bit, there's quite a lot of snow build-up in the middle of the sole. Eventually it builds a hump in the middle of the shoe making it very uncomfortable. Although it's a simple fix: knock it off :)
