Easy to set up and use
Started converting my house to smart lights, and I have been having a good experience with the philip hue's ecosystem. Would recommend to anyone trying to branch into it for the first time. Super easy to set up, connected without any issue, and they just work!

Second order - had to have more
First ones were destroyed by the PG&E power shutdowns some months back. I could not live without this light in my room, so I had to buy more! I love being able to jump in bed and then tell them to shut off! No more tripping in the dark!

Not recommended, they burn out; Hue in general barely works
So, for a 10+ year bulb, I have to wonder: why am I buying a two-pack every year to replace the next ones that blow out. It's *only* these ones that do it. All the wide canister floods work fine. All the ones I bought before Philips actually stopped making these (it's all a different vendor now, they have rights to use the Philips name, like how GE appliances aren't made by GE any more), all those old ones are totally fine. It's only these new style, with the flat shape and made by some random chinese company, that burn out all the time. Also, you really don't want to buy into the Hue ecosystem any more, btw. They've made the app total garbage and they're about to require you to have an account to use it. Yeah, they want you to be on the Internet to turn on your lights. Oh, and also they don't make any of the good home automation products any more. The currently available Hue products are all gimmick devices. Normal flood bulbs, normal switches, normal knobs, those are all discontinued. You can't really use Hue to make your house a "smart lighting" house. It's just junk for sprucing up your apartment, now.TL;DR: These specific bulbs suck, the new vendor sucks, and the entire Hue ecosystem went from "pretty decent" to awful in the space of a few years. Just buy regular Zigbee lighting and controllers... that's all Hue is: Zigbee with bad software and junk bulbs.

I liked these but they should last longer
I bought 5 bulbs (a mixture of White Ambiance, and White A19 bulbs) and 2 of them failed before the 2 year mark. I used it a lot, about 7-8 hours a day (slowly turn on in the morning until I left for work, and on at sunset until I went to bed). It turns out the warranty is only good for 3285 hours. To be fair the other bulbs continue to work fine, but I expected an expensive bulb like this to last longer than 3285 hrs. Really I like the Hue system, but not the warranty.

Black Fabric-like Substance on Bulbs
Found black fabric-like substance on the bulbs (as seen in the photo) and the packaging inside is broken. Requested a replacement but still seeing the same issue. The bulbs are working fine so far, but I can't help to suspect that the bulbs I received were either refurbished or had been sitting in the warehouse for a very long time.
