GREAT PRICE EASY TO PROGRAM

If you don't want to waste your time waiting in line at a Spectrum/Time Warner location to get a new remote, this one works great. It works perfectly with the set top box right out of the plastic wrap and is easy to program other devices with the universal code instructions/guide that is included. My only complaint is that after a month the backlight stops working. So if you are laying in bed at night and suddenly you cannot see the buttons, it gets a little annoying, but overall this is a great item for the price. I've bought several of these and the backlight always stops working around a month after I start using them.

I purchased this to replace an old remote branded Time Warner (it's now called Spectrum). As the title says, my dog ate my remote and I didn't feel like being on hold with Spectrum ( time is money) for a replacement, so I ordered a 2 pack (for the next time she eats the remote). Read and follow the instructions in their entirety and I doubt you will encounter a problem. My TV is an older Hisense (same codes as Sony), and the first set of codes didn't work, but there's a section for that! And after following the instructions we located the correct code. It wasn't hard and it didn't take very long ( a few minutes), but that portion of the instructions is easy to miss. My remote currently controls the TV, box and sound bar. No issues with it so far, and it's exactly like the old remote (new name and logo) so I didn't have to learn any new buttons!

We have older Time Warner cable DVR boxes from when we moved in a few years ago, right before they were bought out by Spectrum. A couple of the remotes had already been replaced with identical ones, when two more decided to start functioning weird, not completely dead, but inconsistently, in certain buttons we used fairly regularly. So I got looking at more identical remotes and found them a bit too expensive. In the search these popped up at a significantly cheaper price. Although they work fine with our boxes, there are a few quirks with a couple different functions, a little different layout, and a bit different process (and vendor specific codes) for setting up the TV and DVR interfaces.

Works just like the original. Bought as spare tv remotes after someone last the original.

I've gone through a number of these through the years. A button or two goes bad after a while so I need to buy a new one. Programming the remote is a bit tricky, but if you're patient and careful about what you're doing it does lead to a favorable outcome.

These didn't work at all. I called Spectrum to see if they needed to be configured, and they told me that they should work right out of the package. But neither one of these would work. If you need a remote, I would go directly to Spectrum.

No additional programming was needed. The Spectrum remotes that came with the service worked for a few months only.....unreal! We were disappointed. How can two remotes work for only a few months. Not the batteries....the small bulb that appears attached and not replaceable no longer worked. I was dreading getting new remotes and having to program them, but these worked flawlessly. Thank goodness!

The remote is compatible with My spectrum box. I didn't have to program it, I am happy with the product.

The remote that came with our Spectrum DVR was wearing out - the directional buttons mostly didn't work any more. Ordered these for replacements - arrived almost immediately - popped the batteries and and they worked instantly. Thanks!

These remotes are ready to go once you put in the batteries and at a great price. No programming needed.

Remote RC122 comes in different Configuration for different Cable Box' s . need to be able to to select cable box model..

If you have ever programmed a remote control before this one will be very simple. I can’t believe they’re making money selling these this cheap.
