I did NOT receive any promotion or compensation to write this review
I was dubious about buying this bag, because so many of the positive reviewers confessed to receiving some kind of promotion or compensation. I've found I can no longer count on such reviewers no matter how much they protest they are "not influenced." I bought this bag as an ordinary consumer, and I'm so glad I did. I used it as a daypack on an around-the-world trip, and it was so useful that I've just bought another color. Empty, I could pack it flat in my roll-aboard suitcase and it took up NO room (I didn't bother trying to stuff it back into the little bag). Sometimes I stuffed it chock full of heavy things (books, electronics, etc.) and was surprised by how well it held up. Sometimes I carried it by the handle on top and sometimes I wore it like a knapsack. I was pleasantly surprised by how very comfortable it was wearing it on my back -- I really hadn't expected that, because the material is very thin and I thought it would cut into my shoulders, but it did not. I wanted a very lightweight pack and chose to use this one over some very nice, expensive and fancy knapsacks. It weighs next to nothing. It's still in great shape after a month of travel -- I could take the same bag around the world again. I bought the 33L, and it was a perfect size. The smaller size would not have worked as well for me.

Impressive little bag! But keep realistic expectations
I'm a city public transit commuter in the rainy pacific northwest. I previously used an 18L Osprey women's suspension backpack to go to and from work, but all the bells and whistles were cumbersome for my daily commute (though fantastic for hiking). I bought the 20L Hexin as a replacement because I wanted a dry bag with shoulder straps. This was a reasonably priced option and came close enough with its water resistance. The sizing is perfect for my needs (lunch sack, rain jacket, water bottle, travel mug, wallet, shoes). You do not need a huge backpack if you have a small one with one cavernous compartment. Surprisingly comfortable shoulder straps for a medium build female frame. Will test it in the rain soon.Mar 26, 2017 UPDATE: Bag still works, even after getting stuffed to full capacity and with more weight, pointy pens and sharp edged books than is prudent. The cloth is rip-stop nylon -- if there are any punctures, I can't see them and they haven't grown into huge holes or tears. After daily use, 1 inch sections of stitching came apart but only in upper front seams. All the load bearing seams are intact (where the shoulder straps meet the bag, and the bottom of the main compartment). Water resistance appears to come from a thin, elastic plastic coating on the inside of the bag which has begun separating and peeling from the cloth. Since this water repellent skin is failing, I wouldn't walk in the rain with a laptop in the bag. Still fine for my non-electronic personal effects.

Great Backpack for Disney World
I purchased this based on other reviews for our trip to Disney World. I wanted something lightweight and water resistant and it fit the bill nicely. I was trying to decide between this bag and the a slightly larger version from the same company Water Resistant Nylon Fabric Outdoor Backpack with Water Pocket and Phone Pocket 35L Black . I opted to go with this one because I didn't want to have lots of different small compartments. At Disney you have to get all your bags checked going into the park, so fewer sections is better and this one looked a bit lighter to wear all day.I was able to keep 5 cold water bottles in the "middle" section along with snacks, sunscreen, rain ponchos, hats, and papers in the main section. It got rained on a bit and kept everything inside dry - on the hottest day the condensation on the water bottles did get the fabric slightly wet, but nothing in the other section was damp.

Great travel backpack
Researched a lot of travel backpacks and finally chose this one for these features: padded straps, multiple pockets, including a small one on the front, and water resistant. Bought one for myself and one for hubby (both M size) and we used them first on a long trip to England. The size was perfect - could carry water bottles, camera, papers, and a jacket and still have room to squeeze in some purchases. About the pocket on the strap... yes, it's tiny. No way a phone would fit.My keys don't fit. A room key or transportation card is a tight fit. We just don't use these little pockets. However, there's a little strap over the pocket and I use a carabiner to hang my camera from that. It stays handy for a quick photo when sightseeing. The mesh pockets on the side of the bag will hold small bottles of water but don't have enough room for a wide one or enough structure for a tall one. But, considering this is a fold-up travel backpack, I wouldn't expect fancy bottle holders. We have since used the bags on many trips. I travel for work and sometimes end up walking to a grocery store and use this bag to carry home my little bit of groceries! We've been using them for over a year and see no signs of wear and tear. Easy to fold and re-pack. We've not been out in the rain with them much - some unexpected showers - so I can't really say whether its waterPROOF but I can tell you we've carried them in rainy weather and the stuff inside has stayed dry.I bought green for me and red for hubby and every time he uses his he says how very much he likes it. I can't believe how inexpensive it was - seems like something that would be much pricier from an outdoors store. A real winner!

Ony ONE Negative!!!
I bought the red one so as to be more visible when crossing a road. The bag has a lot of pockets which I do like. The only thing I can say negative is that the pockets on the shoulder straps are not wide enough to hold a smart phone, thus 4 stars. This bag is easy to fold up into the pouch pocket. Also the water bottle holders are tall and should hold a taller water bottle.Mainly I got this bag for going on vacation and to use when we go shopping to put souvenirs in; that way you don't have to carry a bunch of bags. And the shoulder pockets will be nice for the sun glasses when you are inside a building. This is the only bag I seen that had pockets on the shoulder straps.Another plus is that it does come with a "D" ring to fasten it to your belt.
