Works great with WingX
Works great with WingX! I now fly cross country with WingX because they support the Stratux AHRS! I also like their moving map better than ForeFlight. I am keeping ForeFlight for now for flight planning but may drop it soon if they do not support Stratux. The AHRS works great. I mount it in the back window of my Hawk XP. It gets great GPS reception and AHRS is solid once set. Love the fan as well. It comes on initially and then only when needed. Thanks Stratux and WingX!

Great addition to the Stratux kit!
It works quite well, but is dependent on Stratus 1.3 or later for AHARS to work.If you try to install it in a Summit case, it won't fit without modification to the case. The fan will need to be placed on the outside of the case and the antenna mounts will have to be moved underneath the Raspberry Pi (new holes will have to be drilled). With the onboard barometer and a pressurized airplane, the traffic altitude is distorted because it's sensing pressure altitude and not true or GPS altitude. I have figured out how to fix this yet. Also, when the fan is connected to the Fan Controller, it will take 10-15 seconds to spool up while the system boots up.

Works perfectly! (Also in Foreflight if the correct image is built)
I bought my first one back five months ago, it's 40 flt hrs later and I love it! Built a second one as a backup and it works perfectly. I use Foreflight and the AHRS works on the SD card I built back in August. Most current Stratux image shows ahars working in GPS/AHRS menu tab. I had to go to settings and add a .sh file with the gray "Click to select System Update file" to get Foreflight to see the Stratus AHRS and not get the "No Attitude Information" message in Foreflight. I can't find and don't remember the .sh I used to make foreflight to accept the Stratux AHRS.Foreflight customer service assured me that they do no block features from any devices. I updated my Stratux and it worked. Now to find that file to make a spare...

Outstanding add-on module for a VERY reasonable price
We loyal Stratux users have been waiting a long time for this type of PnP device for AHRS. This is truly fantastic. I 'flew' it around the room and it handled it well, and I took it up flying this past weekend and it performed admirably. Is it a primary flight display replacement? Absolutely not, and it shouldn't be relied upon as such except in extreme emergencies. This is exactly why I have it. For the price, you simply can't beat it, and the fan controller is an added bonus. Highly recommended.

I can't make it work.
I bought the parts to build a stratux. Everything worked except the AHRS. I returned the AHRS board for a replacement. I'm busy. It took me a while to try the 2nd board. It didn't work either. I was so frustrated I bought a complete kit and it's AHRS worked. I put this board in the new kit stratux and it didn't work. I put the original back in the new kit and it worked. Now I'm beyond frustrated, (at myself) I let too much time pass to return the second defective one. Should I try again?

Works well, but board layout could have been designed slightly better.
The chip works well on my Stratux as advertised. No issues with its functioning so far. When I plug the AHRS board on to the GPIO pins, the +ve fan pin is too close to the GPIO pins. If I plug the fan in, then I can't use any GPIO pins that the fan pins are close to without bending/damaging the header pins. I feel the board could have been designed better with the fan pins situated elsewhere so that they don't block the other GPIO pins on the RaspPi3.Currently the AHRS board takes up one 3.3v pin and two 5v pins on the RaspPi. The fan pins on the board also block the second 3.3v pin making it difficult to plug any other peripherals or sensors.Eg., I have a SummitLink V3 case which uses two fans, one to cool the CPU, second one to cool the SDRs/GPUs.I'd like to be able to connect the second fan to the 3.3v. Instead I have to tap into the USB power (5v) and have a noisy fan.

First one non-functional... with a new replacement that works perfectly.
Update- these guys stand behind their products and reputation. They shipped me out a replacement chipset which worked flawlessly right out if the box. Thanks, guys. Will buy more Stratux stuff from you as new stuff comes out! Cheers! The first one I received was non-functional. I reimaged the SD card on the Pi 3 and reloaded in, rebooted, no joy. No attitude data on the Stratux page in my browser or on the iPad running ForeFlight. Both showed the AHRS as being present and recognized, but absolutely no response to changes in roll/pitch no matter what I tried. Returned for a new one. I will update after I receive a good working module.UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATEI received a new module via UPS before the one I returned had even left my mailbox! Great service. In about the time it takes to type this update I had installed the new one and booted it up, loaded ForeFlight, and I now have a 100% functional Stratux with GPS, AHRS, ADS-B in dual channel, and can't wait for this overcast layer to burn off so I can go fly!

finally one that works
This is the third one now. Finally got one that works. I see others have the same experience. Too bad there are not other options with better quality control. First one did not respond at all, second one worked briefly. Third one worked OK on yesterday's flight. I tried the EU version of software and edited the stratux.conf file for US requirements, but I doubt if this was relevant to issue.
