Uncle Mike's Mirage Basketweave Duty Single Snap Close Cuff Case, Black

This product is great for having 1 set of Asp handcuffs (I guess I’m tight or maybe it’s just cause cops don’t get paid what they deserve) in each pouch. This is the cheapest way instead of purchasing Asp handcuff cases to have a case that fits for Asp handcuffs.Having said that, these double cases are very hard to find.One con to these cases, keep in mind I just talked about how inexpensive they are in the first place, but the only thing I have noticed on these cases are the tops of the case rubs off fairly easily. I’ve owned my first set of Uncle Mike’s handcuff cases and bought in 2007. They lasted until 2022. They are still operable. However, the top of the case is worn out. The new pair I purchased last year are beginning to do the same thing.If it weren’t for the con listed above, I would give these a 5 star rating for what it’s worth. I’m not getting paid for this review. I’m just a country boy police officer that opens my case a lot. If you don’t mind the scraped up look, these cases, I recommend. It could be from getting in and out of the car so frequently.

Previously made in the USA, however, they are now made in the Philippines. From a cosmetic standpoint, the quality of the basketweave pattern has decreased significantly as a result! i.e. - contrast of grain depth & pattern. Overall, the item still seems to function as intended. Product did arrive quickly and I was pleased with the retailer's customer service!

It took a little while for the leather to break in, but once it did it's perfect. The basketweave looks much more professional than the nylon gear you can buy. If you have the cash go with the leather basketweave, leather is made to last pretty much a lifetime. The good thing about it is you can clean it off when needed and condition the leather to ensure it last for years.

Good quality, but bulky for a single cuff case. Seems almost too small for my normal peerless chain cuffs.

I bought this same product several years ago and bought this one as a companion to it, thinking it should match. It doesn't. The basketweave embossing is totally different and very cheap-looking. Doesn't look like the photo either. It serves the intended purpose (it holds a pair of cuffs just fine) but looks silly next to better quality gear on a belt, and most importantly does not match the same exact item manufactured in the past. Uncle Mike's dropped their quality on this one several notches.

Good quality. Good price. Doesn't scuff easily.
