Shipping is a continuous problem. Take pictures as on opening!
Ordered this paper twice now. Wichita to Amazon and got a refund for the first one because of the shipping. As you can see in the pictures every single package I have gotten has been torn badly upon delivery. It's marked 100 lbs.It is sturdy paaper. Handles fineliners, fountain pens, stamping. When it is on sale for the appropriate price I will vontinue to buy it and just let Amazon know when I get packages that are unusable. If you do order make sure you take pictures as your opening.

Good paper, terrible packaging
This is nice heavy paper that doesn't bleed through. I use it for planner pages that I print myself. However, the packaging was terrible. The outer shipping package was ripped as was the wrapping on the paper ream itself. Fortunately no paper was damaged.

No, it isn't really text weight. Almost cardstock, but not quite.
I bought this without looking at the weight, which was a silly mistake and not the company's fault. I wanted a text weight printer paper, which this is certainly not. It isn't quite as heavy as cardstock, but you definitely do not want to use it in a book in my opinion. It's like the cheaper, thin index cards. My son is using it to make a card game. It's very sturdy, and if that is what you are looking for this is an excellent value for the money. The reason for four stars instead of five is that it isn't acid free. For me, if I am ever going to use paper like this, it will be for a more permanent application for something I want to save. In that case, it really needs to be acid free in order to not deteriorate too quickly. Since this isn't, I honestly cannot think of a single thing I would ever use it for.

Really?!?!?
This paper is perfect for what I need it for BUT it should HAVE NOT been delivered this way!!! Hard to believe the paper itself is in good condition!!!

Best paper by far for the money.
I'm a musician and print notation from Finale and Sphere. This holds up thru the printer, does not show thru when double-side printing, and holds up in a three-ring binder when using it on a music stand ... turning the pages over and over again. Bought paper, great quality, non-smearing, and works exceptional with ink-jet printers. I plan on using nothing else in the future.

Confusing - inconsistent Basis Weight listing and the 40lb Ream is 250 sheets not 500 as advertised
There is a lot of confusing regarding this paper. It is not completely Accent Opaque Digital’s fault, although their listing could be clearer and it does have errors. (Note, I am not associated with Accent Opaque Digital in any way… I’m just an Amazon customer.) However, the listing is WRONG... the "40lb Copier Paper" comes in containers of 250 sheets NOT a ream of 500 sheets! I will flag that as an error. Here is the summary of my finds: This "40lb Copier Paper" as listed on Amazon is actually 40lb "Bond" paper Basis Weight = 100lb Copy/"Text" paper Basis Weight listed on actual package. This paper is consistent in thickness with the HP Branded 40lb/150 GSM “Project Paper” that I have purchased in the past. HOWEVER, It comes in packages of 250 sheets not a 500 sheet ream as advertised on Amazon! It is not the deal I thought I was getting because I'm getting half the quantity! I can get the HP paper cheaper. Brightness and smoothness seems fine, but I haven't test printed so I can't be sure of print quality. I will update my review after I have printed using this sheetsIf you want to know why this listing is confusing and why Basis Weight to measure paper thickness is VERY confusing… read on.The most used measures for paper thickness (in the USA) is Basis Weight, but most products also list GSM (although in fine print). The major problem with using US Basis Weight for grading paper is that it is VERY confusing. Basis Weight is confusing because it does NOT easily describe the thickness (stiffness) of a paper BETWEEN paper types. For example, 60 lb Text paper is not the same thickness as 60 lb Bond (aka Cover or Book) paper because an uncut sheet of Text Paper is not the same size as an uncut sheet of Cover Paper. Basis Weights have NOTHING to do with the final product weight! Also, Basis Weight is based on the weight of one ream (500 sheets), of paper in its basic unit uncut size. (ie. the weight is categorized before being cut into legal size or letter size.) Note that a ream is a traditional unit of quantity used for counting sheets of paper. One ream equals 500 sheets of paper. The shorthand for Basis Weight is “lb” or “#”. If a paper is described as “60 lb” (or “60 #”) that means that one ream of that paper is 60 pounds Basis Weight. It does not mean the ream actually weights 60lbs! AND the meaning of this number varies for different types of paper (bond/text/copier, index, cardstock, book, newsprint... and there is inconsistency between manufacturers of what they call their paper. Are you confused yet?It is much easier to compare paper thickness using GSM. GSM stands for a Gram per Square Meter. This is the easiest way to measure thickness between paper types (e.g. Text Paper listed as 74gsm is exactly the same thickness as Cover paper listed as 74gsm.) It is however, not the most common used measurement in the U.S.Why is the above important and why are people confused by the Accent Opaque Printer Paper, Smooth Finish (188101R)? Well read on...Here are the specs listed on Amazon for the Copier Paper I purchased:• 40lb Copier Paper (apparently this is “Bond” Weight using U.S. Basis Weight)• 1 Ream of 500 sheetsBut here are the actual specs on the packaging when it arrived:• 49lb/ctn (I assume this means 49lb per container of 250 sheets = 100 lbs Text Basis Weight * 250 sheets/500 sheets)• ½ ream of 250 sheets (NOT 500 sheets as advertised)• 100lb (apparently this is “Text” Weight using U.S Basis Weight• GSM = 148 (this is correct for and consistent with 100 lb “Text” Weight and 40lb “Bond” Weight as they are equal thickness. So it is confusing people because it is NOT clear from the listing what the weight of the paper listed on Amazon actually represents and Accent Opaque Digital is using two different Basis Weights in advertising vs packaging. To be fair, much farther down in the description there is a chart comparing text vs cardstock, but that even that is confusing.

This is the perfect weight for printing out patterned paper. It is not good for a card bases but it is great for a background patterned paper.

Great quality at good price
The papers are smooth and bright enough for sketching and marker touch up and they hold up pretty good against bleeding. The package was left outside under the rain for a few hours before I picked it up. Surprisingly the papers were dry and in perfect condition.

Emballage déchiqueté
La boite est arrivée très endommagée et l'emballage des paquets de feuilles était en partie déchiqueté. Heureusement, la majorité des feuilles à l'intérieur étaient intacts mais c'est quand même très décevant.
