Works
Works well I do wish you could set it for more than 6 hours on at a time but item is as described works well comes on every night at dusk stays on to about midnight . Item was less than $10 with shipping and tax and works so you really can’t complain if you need it to turn on during the day just cover the sensor for a second with your thumb and it will turn on for another 6 hours we use ours to turn on a heater for a small to mid size fish pond in the back yard. It works well for that purpose and would probably work well for Christmas lights as well if you wanted to switch them off in the middle of the night automatically 😎

Value for money...junk in my opinion.
I bought this product for the simplicity of it. Plug it in and when it get dusk, it suppose to turn on and 6 hours later shuts off. Perfect I thought.Bought them for my parents, their both up in there 80's and they don't see very well, to fumble with setting timers.So my mom calls me and tells me she used one for a small LED light on her front porch. She said it never shuts off. I told her there was 2 in the package, switch it out. She said she tried that one also and it stays on 24 hours a day.Well I stopped over to check things out and it seems to be, both the photoeyes on this product...do not work. So if you use it out in bright sunlight, your golden it's fine. But under a roof area, not worth it. Stays on.In my option, don't waste your money on this JUNK.

Great way to provide night lighting.
These sense ambient light and activate at dusk. They then keep the lights on for a pre set time(and I presume remain on till dawn). We used them to control outdoor enter meant lights and did not wait around to see them turn off. The lights were off, are desired upon going outside, in the morning.I bought a pair in 2018 and one failed after three years. OK in my opinion, given the exposure to the elements! . I bought another pair and now have an extra.I am very satisfied with the product!

Quality & perfect for Christmas lights!
I had about dozen of those crummy timers where you have to pull out the little timer pieces to set your on/off. They're a pain in the butt to set and I was looking for alternate solution for Christmas lighting. These timers are perfect! They do exactly as they say. Plug in your Christmas lights to this thing, it turns on when it gets dusk and it's on for 6 hours. Perfect for 1 season so far! Great product!

Not what I expected
This timer didn’t really work as expected. Lights remained on all night. Started out well, lights went on at dusk... Expectation was the lights shut off after 6 hours. Woke up at 4am to lights flashing on and off like the police were outside. Something malfunctioned with it, because our lights are not the twinkling kind. So I’ve discontinued use and went with an app controlled smart plug for outdoors to control the outdoor Christmas lights.

Great product. Sure makes life easy for displaying Christmas lights.
Like the sensor mechanism. Comes on at dusk and turns off six (6) hours later. Has been very dependable during the Christmas decoration season. Hopefully we will find use for this product all year round. Great value for the price.Nice not to go outside during cold weather to turn light off and on. In past years many times our lights were left on all night. No longer a problem or concern for our utility bill.

Lasted 4 months. Stopped working after a light rain.
Worked fine for four months. I had this plugged into an outdoor outlet which on the house wall, under an eave. It was installed as directed with the receptacle facing downward. It was exposed to expected outdoor elements in this location and away from standing or splashing water. It failed after a light rain. This is another cheap amazon product. I'm tired of buying things and throwing them away after a few months.

Great for Christmas Lights
Bought this to control my Christmas lights on the balcony of my apartment. There's an outdoor socket but no switch to turn it on and off other than going outside to plug it in and then go outside to unplug before I go to bed, no matter the weather. This timer automatically turns lights on at sunset and then turns them off 6 hours later. Love it!
