Kool-Down (4.5 oz) 3.9% Lidocaine Pain Relief Cream

First used Kool Down in Daytona Beach Florida over 20 years ago. Loved it and looked for it every time I visited Florida. Couldn't ever find it in stores again. Found it online about 10 years ago but was too frugal to pay the cost of shipping on one jar and couldn't get any friends to go in with me. So, here I am, overjoyed to have found this on Amazon! It's not sticky like the blue or green aloe gels, doesn't smell like all the typical after sun lotions and sunscreens (I don't like smelling like a coconut or pineapple). I'm a redhead and burn easily so this takes out the burn when I overdo it.

The first time I bought Kool down was more than 20 years ago when I went on vacations to Daytona beach. Back then I wasn't use to tanning and all my upper body burned. It was an awful experience cause it hurt a lot, so I went to a gift store to buy something that cooled me down and the staff recommended kool down... It worked as soon as I applied it! The pain was gone in minutes!!!! Since then I can NEVER run out of Kool down.... thanks to the CEO Daniel Perkins for this amazing product!!!

We have been buying this and keep it on hand in our motorhome at all times. My boys do not always remember (lol) or refuse (sad) to continue to put sunscreen on.. this stuff is great! Let’s just say, they are red heads.. and use a bottle at the drop of a hat..,

Let me start by saying I can't believe I found this product on Amazon but I am so glad I did! I don't usually write reviews but Kool Down has been such a life saver I felt I had to. When my wife and I went on our "Babymoon" before the birth of our first daughter we spent a weekend relaxing in Panama City Beach. Unfortunately, she got severely sunburned. I was worried sick about her because she was in such pain and discomfort. I went to the concierge of our hotel and asked if they had anything that could help, they did not. All they had was sun tan lotion and a product that had aloe for mild sunburn. Aloe didn't help. The lady in the gift shop told me to go to one of the locally owned stores and ask for anything with Lidocaine as that is what would relieve my wife's pain. So I did and the store manager told me about Kool Down. It was a miracle for us. It really helped make my wife more comfortable. Now we have two little girls and we always take it with us on beach trips in case they (or we) get sunburned. With Spring Break this week I went on Amazon to order supplies for our trip and to see if there was something similar to Kool Down I could get because it's not sold in stores where I live. What a wonderful surprise to see that it is available on Amazon now!!! My advice: if you're going to the beach take Kool Down along. You really will be glad you did.

This is a great product! Works very good. Love it.

Love Kool Down. Have used it for years. I gave 4 stars because it isn't available in spray form. With this lotion you have to touch the burn to apply. When it hurts you don't want it to be touched!

As a fair skinned girly let me be the first to tell you that you NEED THIS! It works usually within a day and I swear this is why I no longer peel! It doesn’t make you feel sticky and it spreads so nice which is important when you have a already painful sunburn! It’s not very big but it’s super mighty!!

We discovered this on vacation in the sunny state of Florida several years ago and have made sure to keep it on hand ever since. This offers good (temporary) pain relief from sun burns, and maybe most importantly doesn't smell terrible! A must have to anyone who loves spending time outdoors in the summer, or anytime really!
